Somebody said that"we are living in an age with no more hero!"I don't know whether I should agree with him or not. Many years ago, some may think that Alexander the Great was an hero, but he end up achie. Some may think that Napolean was a hero, but he ended up in exile and died in custody. What about nowaday?Gerenal Macarthur?Bruce Lee?Well....I think it may be an interesting topice for discussion and see what you think. But being a hero is not fun and always have to dedicate a lot before recognised as a hero by a large group of people. My Hero?Of course is Jesus. And He is my hero of all times. (when you responds, please figure out someone whose more significance than your father or brother type, although I agree that your family member may be a hero of your family, but it will be much better if you can share someone who really did or is impacting the world right now with some kinds of contribution to all humans)Thank you and longing to hear from you.

Yes, I see God as my hero as well. He rules the entire Earth. He is here when we don't even know it. Barak Obama is like a hero to me too. He became president just when we needed him too. With the help of God he can save the world from destruction. There are heros that are in this world, their talents will just have to come out and be made known.

Of course being a hero is a lot of things.
You don't have to be famous to become a hero because
you did something that is heroism act to others. There are
many silent heroes who are contented living in the dark away from
the limelight. They are the ones who don't want a hero's life but
do the same act everyday. They could be your family members, friends,
and relatives or even complete strangers.

Yes,I agree with you that hero doesn't need to be famous or popular. And there are for sure many silent heros whom we can learn from them. These kindsof people often sareflies their life for the sake of others goodness and well being.I think we all need to honor these heros .These people always show us what means by love and not to be selfish.I think their life example are much better than what we learn from the textbook.Ha Ha,if we want to nominate a person as a hero for myLot today, who do you think will get the award? What kind of standard we need to set up for a myLot hero?I think it may be an interesting topic to post.See who will post this topic first, not me.....,at least not today! Have a good day.

Most of the heroes in this world go unsung. Every day there are little people who are doing great things, and no one ever knows what they're doing. Celebrity and herosim isn't the same thing at all, although some celebrities have been heroes. There will never be a world without heroes in it so long as there are people giving selflessly of themselves to others.

Yes there are heroes even until now. You see them everywhere. As you sleep in bed at night you hear the sirens wail and they run to respond. They save lives. As you reach the hospital, you are treated to insure that life will go on. Do I need to add more? Heroes are everywhere. You do not have to look any further. The person you meet along the road, could most likely be a hero. You could be a hero in your own way...

Yes there are heroes The men and women in Law Enforcement I think are some of the greatest heroes we have protecting us from all the everyday criminals and crime! Ans I also think the heroes are our soldiers who also put their life in lines to protect our country! The soldiers are great! And so is law enforcement just think what this world would be without them! And also there are everyday heroes that help others let's not forget all the emergency help we recieve from ambulances, doctors, all medical fields that are there for us in dyer need! And I would say these are the real heroes of this world today!

There are heros, those who put their life on the line to save others.... every day. The police, the firemen & the ambulance pepole. They put their own lives at risk to save people they do not even know. I detest people who call sports people heroes (they have done nothing heroic to earn it) also those who become trapped for some reason...example is a person caught in an avalanche.... they are not heroic, they are trapped waiting for the real heros to come & save them.
God is no hero, nor is Jesus. what heroic acts have they done to save lives? allowing children & adults to suffer horrific abuse & accidents is NOT hero work.

yeah. if you watched CNN's heroes they have a list..in fact there are so many unsang heroes today especially in tragedies like fires, and other accidents.. it's just a matter of recognizing them. i believe it is subjective. God may be my hero but for others he's not.what i'm sayiung is that heroes do exist, you just have to get to know them good day!

wildlittlefan there were heroes like Jonas Saulk who saved thousands from infantile paralysis and other doctors who
'have helped save lives with new medications and new treatments'
and are not even really recognized except among the medical
profession. Pasteur comes to mind oh of course Jesus Christ
and Mother Theresa and even Priness Dianna. Baruk Obama our new
president is another hero for a lot of thinking p eople but not
the republicans who wanted the pompous McClain instead.

Superman,Spiderman,batman,...oh!how did you forget them? They are living in the minds of kids and they are dream world heroes.Well,in real life,I think there cannot be any individual heroes to find. They are working as a team....one which rushes to a calamity spot to serve the victims, one who does researches on essential medicines, one who fights for the nation..........they all are heroes. To point out an individual, then every doctor is a real hero.

It is not true that there are no more heroes nowadays. There are actually millions of heroes these days, but they are not just technically recognized as one. The thing is, one doesn't have to do something extravagant like enlisting for the military and sacrificing your life to be a hero. A small act of kindness like saving a drowning kid from a pool or just giving some alms to the poor can make you a hero. The recent CNN Hero of the Year, Efren PeƱaflorida, a fellow Filipino of mine, got his outstanding recognition by setting up "pushcart classrooms" to teach out-of-school youth of the slums basic reading and writing and even self-development. Another thing is, your actions don't have to be recognized by the whole world for you to be called a hero. It doesn't matter whether everybody or it is just you who knows about your kindness. As long as you devote your time and energy to serve other people, then you are a certified hero. Keep in mind that Jesus likes secret acts of kindness.
