Hi, cellphone technician here, from the Philippines. As far as I know, cellphones does not explode. Only batteries explode. The cellphone itself does not explode and will never explode, unless you put some explosives in it. Only batteries explode.

I have never had the iphone or ever used one, so I wouldn't know if it is dangerous or not, but it is a quite popular phone, and if that were the case, people wouldn't be buying it that is for sure. Since I am not an AT&T customer, I will never be able to have the iphone, but that is okay, as I am sure there are many phones our there just as nice as the iphone. I have heard the battery life is very poor in them as it doesn't last long, and that in the end isn't a very good phone, and not worth having in that situation. The phone I have has a battery that lasts approximately a week, which is good for a cellphone. I bought it mainly for the battery life a,d the fact it has a touch screen. By the way, my phone is an LG enVTouch. Merry Christmas, and happy mylotting.
