Ist thing in the morning ...... turn on Computer................. !!!!!!!!!!!!

I do this all the time but not for surfing the net or playing games but to talk to my girlfriend. She lives at the other side of the world from where I am so the only times we can talk is during the morning and in the evening. If we live in the same time zone right now I will be only use my computer during the afternoon.

Mostly true but not quite for me. I put my glasses on when I wake up. For the express purpose of seeing the computer when I turn it on. I tend to not waste any time, as I have the computer on when I wake up and turn it off when I go to bed. There are things that I do in between obviously, but mostly I have the computer on from rise to sleep. Still, yeah, its a habit, turning on the computer, it's been one for years and it will be one for years in the future for me.

Well i also do the same thing but i am not from USA. The first thing that i do after waking is switching on the PC and check all the emails, then only i go for other things. It has been a sort of addiction for me.

I will be the first to admit my computer is one of the things I check. I don't spend a lot of time on it at any one time. But, I do like to check my e-mail and do what little I do on it. Then I post a little bit here, take a break then go right back to it. But, do I actually have to turn it on? No. I leave it on because it's a laptop and quite often its recommended to leave them on because the first thing that would break is the power button because of the eletric surges. Not worth the risk.

I am not a teen and I am not in the USA, but still the first things I do in the morning is to turn my computer on, on my way to the coffee machine. As soon as I drink my first gulp and my eyes are opened enough to see the mouse and the keyboard

I'm not in the US too but I do admit first thing when I wake up is check for any messages on my computer. Most of the time I leave it on the whole time so it doesn't really directly applies but I just realized that it's actually not a healthy habit :(

what a coincidence?today during a casual conversation over tea my dad was expressing concern over my younger brother's this behaviour. i do agree that many of the young adults and teenagers have lately developed this habit of getting stuck to the computer as soon as they wake up ,even in India.
