Today it is the first day run for the new high speed train from Guangzhou to Wuhan. We bought the tickets and we will try how fast it is. We will get off from the first stop, and then have one night stay there. We will have a trip and we will be back home tomorrow night. If it is not cold, I would like to try the spring there. But now it is winter and I don't want to soak in the spring. But anyway, it is very convenient to have this high speed train. We can go there anytime late when the weather is warm

Hi speed? how fast does it go? I hear form other people that trains in China are very fast. Your land is big and trains are very popular, right?

I don't know exactly how fast it is. Perhaps about 100 meters per second? I will figure it out after we try it.

Very cool. I've never been on a high speed train, it looks like it would be a rush to ride on. I've only been on a train that toured a certain part of Arkansas and then we had dinner on it. We had a chance to take a train across Texas and New Mexico but we never did, maybe I will book a trip for my family someday. Enjoy!

That sounds like a fun day for your family together. Is it for a special occasion, such as in the US it is Christmas, or is it just a day off for you so you can have an excursion together? I have never ridden a train other than an exhibition type train.

It is not a special occasion because Christmas is not our official holiday. We just take advantage of the weekend and have a trip

Sounds like fun. I live in California and we just approved a high speed train from Northern California to Southern California. There is still debate over the cost and route but I hope to someday ride it.

Hi my friend You Less. It will be exciting for you to ride on the new high speed train from Guangzhou to Wuhan. It will be lovely for you to try out how fast it is going to the first stop. I know that you are going to really have a wonderful time. Then you will want to travel on it again in the spring or the summer. Train is my favorite form of transport. I like to sit and look out the window at the passing scenery. I hope that it won't be too cold for you.

A bullet train runs on the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-sp - Competition between airlines and rail operators will further hot up on Saturday thanks to the launch of China's longest high-speed train link between Wuhan and Guangzhou.

The line stretches more than 1,000 km and will slash the travel time from Wuhan, Hubei province, to Guangzhou in Guangdong from 10 hours to just three.

Tickets for the service - which also stops at Changsha, capital of Hunan - went on sale at new stations in the three cities last weekend, with prices ranging from 780 yuan ($110) for first class to 490 yuan for second class, said a joint document released by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Railways.
Hello youless. I heard this news on radio this morning and I read it as well at China Daily. I think that it is a gorgeous to have already shortened the traveling hours from ten to three hours that one can travel between these two cities back and forth in one day. I wish that there would be one from Hangzhou to Guangzhou or Shenzhen in the near future.

youless, I hope you have a good trip here. I've tried it a last week and I must say that I am really impressed with it. The ride was very comfortable and short. Now, traveling between these 2 cities will be much more relatively easy and cost effective. I just hate airports which are always quite a distance from the city center where train stations are located much closer. I just wish that there will be more of this service to other cities in the future. All the best and have a nice day.

I also think this high speed train is very comfortable. Its environment is also better than the normal train.

I live in Florida, and there are plans to build a high-speed train in the central part of our state at some point in the future. I hope they do it soon. I will certainly make a trip down there to try it out once they get it opened. I think it will be fun to try. I have never traveled by train, but I have always wanted to. Maybe I can take a short trip by train in the coming year...

Hi youless! I have read about China's high speed train. They said it is faster than our "shinkansen" here in Japan. I could imagine that it would be very fast! Oh, this discussion was posted 3 days ago. hmmmm. How was your experience? I hope it was very good. Happy mylotting!
