Ok I know you will probably hear this a lot but a best friend is someone who is always there for you in the highest and lowest parts of your life. A best friend is always honest with you no matter if they have to tell you the ugly truth. A best friend is always there to stick up to you even though it hurts them in the process. A best friend is someone who hides their hurt and sad feelings and just so you dont have to worry about them. A best friend is someone who will is someone who will hold you hand to cross the street. A best friend is some who will encourage you to find your highest potential. A best friend is someone who will stay on the phone with you and talk for hours and hours even if its nonsense. A best friend is someone who will not stab you behind your back when others do. A best friend knows all about you including your flaws and STILL likes you. A best friend is someone who will congratulates your success and ignores your failures. A best friend is someone who would be there for you when they would rather be somewhere else and had other plans. A best friend will tell you your negatives but not make fun of them but to help you correct them. A Best friend will be there for you when everybody is not. A best friend is a friendship that you and your friend have that needs no description. A lastly, to finish my response, a Best Friend is someone who will sit with you and have no conversation, but will still walk away feeling that you had the time of your life. a best friend means that he will help you when you are in trouble. when you do something wrong, he will tell you to stop it. if you do not follow his advice, he will not give up and go on persuading you just because it is for your sake. you two believe in and rely on each other without worrying about repaying the other.

I'm 51 now. I have always been a very popular girl. I've worked as a corporate Public Relations Manager for a National television station and thus has many many friends. But best friends ? Only 4. They have been tested through time and circumstances and has supported me all the way. We have a give and take relationship. We don't have to always call each other anymore, because we have it in our heart.

What I consider to be a best friend, is someone who is honest, trustworthy, loyal, kind, basically an overall good person. At least that's how I envision my best friend to be. I mean, they don't have to be perfect or anything, but I do expect a lot out of them because they are my BEST friends and not just friends to me. I think if I was in your position and my so called best friends weren't there when I needed them the most, I wouldn't consider them my actual best friends. They would still be friends to me, but they wouldn't be my best friends anymore. I believe that best friends should be there or at the very least try to be there for you when you're at your lowest. I don't think that your 'best friends' are really best friends. They just say they are. If they really were, they would've been there for you when you fell. They would've at least been there or tried to be there for you and tried to console you.
