Do you follow any New Year's Eve traditions for a luckier new year?

Every year they say, you have to put at least 13 kinds of fruits, preferrably rounded, on your table on New Year's Eve, for luck and abundance. Also sweets, for a sweeter family relationship throughout the incoming new year. At midnight, throw coins of different denominations across your living room to attract money. There's really no harm in following the tradition. It may help. What other customs do you know and follow?

Yes... I don't know how many fruits but they say it must be rounded like oranges, grapes etc... We also scatter coins on some parts of the house. We make noises and jump when the countdown has finished. new year is fun. Happy new year to all :)

hi atebuds, i live in China, and chrstimas day and new year is not our traditional festivals. the biggest festival to us is the lunar new year. but i remembered that there was some traditions when i was young. but we tend to have enough rest on holidays, we gave up some traditions. but the old aged people would have their own way for a luckier new year for their kids.

I used to do those things before I committed my life to Christ. I really thought some of that stuff would work. My family believed it. But once coming to Christ, His peace reigns within. I trust Him completely for blessing and direction. No longer do I believe in luck, but blessing. And may God bless you!
