Yes it really is. But didn't you know that your parents were the one who bought it?

wow...its a nice thing that your mother didn't let you believe to what is never true. with that, you'll get away with disappointment of finding out that santa's not true

I stopped believing in Santa when I was 8. My sister and I went some place with my parents in our van and when they went into the store we happened to look in the back and found all the gifts. That's when we knew Santa wasn't real and also there was another time when we woke up in the middle of the night and saw our parents taking gifts downstairs under the tree. But this day I still try to believe in Santa for my 2 yr old nephew. Until he knows its not real or if he ever believes that we try to play it cool!

I used to believe in Santa right up until I was about 10ish. I used to love getting all excited on Christmas Eve night just to wake up in the morning rush downstairs and rip open my present from Santa.
Remember it was tradition that before I went to bed on Christmas Eve I had to leave a carrot for rudolph and a mince pie and glass of sherry or brandy for Santa.
It was only as I grew up did I realise the truth but I wouldn't say I was devastated...a little down maybe but bearing in mind Santa is supposed to come down the chimney and we didn't have one....it does make you wonder.

well santa might not be real in a physical form but I guess its like god to some people
santa exists because he exists in the mind of the children and to be honest I still look out with my kids hoping to see him lol,
same as with religion that exists because people believe in it no physical form but in peoples hearts and minds they are real.

I'm a big fan of Santa! I grew up believing that he really exist. When i was a child December is my favourite month because i can see and receive gifts from Santa. I always make sure that before Christmas end my red socks is full of goodies even though we caught our parents putting candies in our sucks, we still believe in Santa Clause. maybe because they gave us a very good excuse.

Yes, I did. My parents led me to believe that Santa Claus exists. So it was Santa that I though gave me gifts during Christmas. Now, I have already passed the Santa stage. My 6 year old child is now the one believing in Santa Claus.

When I was a child my parents and I celebrated Christmas Eve with my grandparents, my aunt, my uncle and my cousins. One year when I was a few years old my youngest cousin played Santa Claus. He knocked on the door and came in dressed up as Santa Claus. I didn't recognize him and I was convinced Santa Claus had come to visit us He handed out the presents and then he left. It is a long time ago, and I don't remember the presents that I got, but my parents say that they will never forget the look on my face when Santa Claus showed up

Of course I did! Believing in him brought me presents.I am still tempted to believe in him if some else would take up the part of my parents and give me presents. But nowadays the job has been shifted to me as my daughter is a vehement believer of Santa Claus and asking around for his phone number so that she can directly communicate with him to get the gifts she wants instead of going via her parents.

So Like parent like daughter! Its really hard to have a kid that believes santa claus. its a lot of headache...and we can also say,"is this what my parents feel during my childhood?"

When I was a kid, I was a bit skeptical about Santa Claus because I was raised Christian and I was really confused as to whether or not it was okay for me to believe it. All my friends, at least most of them, really believed in Santa Claus and so when they told me about their 'testimonials', I started to slowly believe it for a while. I finally cleared it out with my parents that Santa does not exist. I have to say, I think I was a little disappointed because being a kid and all, hearing all those neat stories and watching all those cartoons about Santa Claus, a part of me wanted for it to be true, but a part of me didn't. I wouldn't have, exactly, been on the good list. Anyhow, I did believe in it for a little while until I learned the truth. Now, as I am much older, I know that the real star of Christmas isn't Santa Claus, it's Jesus Christ. I know a lot of people don't really celebrate Christmas and don't know why we do. But anyway, the real star of Christmas is Jesus Christ. He is the reason why there's a Christmas celebration at all =]

its really disappointing to find out something that you expect its true but actually isn't. but that's part of life.
many people don't celebrate christmas because they don't believe that jesus christ was born December 25. its not in a bible so its not proven

yes, memories when you were still a kid is really nice to look back. people would think that you're crazy if you will still believe in santa claus even when you're grown up already.

Of cours i did!Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that in no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can use.How dreary would be the world be as if there were no santa Claus! There would be no childlike faith then,no poetry,no romance to make tolerable this existence. The eternal light with which childbood fills the woorld would be extiguisbed!
