I have never fell alsleep on the job. J have been extremly tired and felt like I was going to but never did. I always told myself if I did and got caught it could lead to termination. I value my job very much and love it. I could not imagine life without the job I have. It is very easy and so nice to have. Most people don't have as easy as a job as I do. I feel I am so lucky to have a more or less stress free job. What more could I ask for. I definetley am not going to mess it it up! That means no sleeping on the job!

I don't understand how you can say that you don't know how this happens, falling asleep at work. You said if you are at home you stay up on your computer.

Yes,I have fell asleep at work.I used to have the twelve hour night shift.I was working for a plastic bottle company.I had to pack bottles coming out of a machine.I couldn't get used to staying up all night.I fell asleep while I was packing, and when I woke up,the bottles were all over the floor.I remember I just rejected them all and threw them into the rejection bin,so I can catch up with the machine.I didn't get in trouble because at the place at night there were no bosses there.I fell asleep alot there,I ended up quitting because I couldn't adjust myself to sleeping during the day.I lasted about three weeks the longest there.I saw alot of people ,that started with me at the job, they quit way before me.

yeah, i have fallen asleep on the job before, but fortunately wa not caught. Don't get me wrong, I have only done in once, but I guess it happens to people who have insomnia more than people who do not. I would never jeprodise my job, for a quick nap. When I did it, it was completely accidental and I am more aware of it now. I chalk it up to a lesson learned.

I have fell asleep a lot of times, in my job. My job is to supervise a team of young Medical Representatives, who visit the Doctors, and promote our products. Some times, when the waiting is for a long time, I usually doze off, and my collegue, usually wakes me up, when we have to visit the doctor in his chamber. Even yesterday I dozed off.

I did, once. My first semester of college. I was doing a full course load (about 17 hours a week), along with working full time at McDonalds and Wawa (40+ hours a week at both jobs) while trying to maintain an active social life. My job at Wawa was an overnight shift. I was feeling run down, but trying to get through it as best I could. I went into the break room to do a little homework during a slow period around 2am, felt dizzy, put my head down for a minute and the next thing I knew it was 6am. The girl I was working with never bothered to wake me up.

Yep, it is a big problem for me. I like to sleep more then 12 hours per night, but usually I sleeps only 4-6 hours...so I very often fell in sleep in my job. But this sleep is not very deep, so I can wake up when someone is coming. But one time I felt bad, when my chief opened the door and I hadn't time enough to look awake. But with my sleep problem I can't do anything, only if there is much to do and job is interesting.

No L.O.L but a friend of mine did it was so funny I didn't even notice it but the boss did and sent her home. L.O.L. and one person that used to work there used to fall asleep while talking to customers on the phone and when he would wake up he would be asking them what's for dinner and forgot who he was talking to! L.O.L. He got fired. But me I never have fell asleep on the job. But almost when I was sick.

Keep this as one important resolution for the coming new year and as you said that your job is a stress free job then just ignore sleeping but as far as my job is concerned i am always sleepy because my boss comes in the afternoon and stays for not more than one hour and he leaves office to come on next day.

This was a real problem for me! I haven't actually fallen asleep completely either but came very close many times. I used to have an office job. And especially when things were slow I could feel myself nodding off and would have to say to myself in my head...wake up, what if the boss comes in! Alot of times I would take a walk to the bathroom and splash water on my face or go the the break room and buy a soda and/or snack just to try to stay awake.

Yes i do..:).. But i only took a nap.. However, though i did such, i still have managed to finish my task. I am a writer and my brain got drain so i have to freshen myself up. I took my nap for only about five minutes. I guess, it is not that big issue.. I need to think a lot about what i am going to write, 8 hours of thinking is impossible, so i have to take a rest for a while.. :)

Yes, I did. I was a teaching assistant. It was after lunch, and we were watching a movie. It was very dark and warm, and the next thing I knew a student was laughing at me.

I don't ever fall asleep on the job. There our days where the job can be boring when we have slow patient day. Some days we don't get many people that walk thru the door for tests and other days its a nut house. On the slow days I hate them because you get soo bored & just want 2 fall asleep because of boredom. Its nice to have days like that once in awhile but not all the time. This week being christmas was like that and I was going crazy! Next week we'll probably be the same being New Years. Hopefully things will pick up after the new year!

I have done it several times especially when I stay up late the other night and do excercises.I start out pretty well bright eyed and bushy tail but then when its around 2 pm and I have three hours more to go that whe sleep overcomes me .At that point I am there sitting up straight and not trying to be too obvious but my head is bouncing all about on my shoulders like a bouncing ball.Usually though if I managed to get about fifteen to twenty minutes I am good to go

I have to admit, I did fall asleep back when I was working for a company that I had to work at nights. It was the most frustrated days of my life before wherein I had no choice but to work at night due to money purposes. It's funny though because back on those days I had fun and tried to had fun as much as I can even if it was tiring or what.

Actually tuckersheri, it is not tiredness alone that can lead to a person feeling sleepy when they should be working. There are many other factors as well, such as boredome, yes boredom. Some jobs require a person to just sit in one corner and only be on feet when bosses turn up, or when something urgent crops up. These are non-stressful jobs! So you might be at a job that would make a normal person feel sleepy.
