Did this year seem to go quickly for you?

It struck me yesterday that this year seemed to go very quickly to me. It was Christmas but it just seemed like it would have been a bit longer until Christmas. Than the fact that 2010 is coming up in less than a week. I cannot believe it has been ten years since 2000 and all the hysteria surrounding that has occurred. Perhaps it is just me but as I get older, time seems to go move more quickly and I can never have enough time to do what I need to get done. Does the same thing happen to you? Please share.

Personally I get caught up in doing one thing. I accomplish it and only think it takes a few hours but it always strikes me how odd it does that I've taken most of the day to get it done. And I wonder where the time went, wishing I had more time to do everything else. Thank you for your response.

Yes time does seem to be passing pretty fast, this year at Christmas just didn't seem like Christmas. I don't know why. I guess that time does pass a bit faster every year as we get older, I know when I was younger Christmas couldn't get here fast enough, now it's like Christmas gets here and is gone before we know it!

It didn't fully strike me that Christmas was almost here until a few days before. Of course I knew, but at the same time, I wish had more time to help build up the anticipation. A couple more weeks at week but I guess time does in fact go faster. Its here and gone. Thanks for your response.

If the year isn't going by fast, it's getting everyone together! lol!

Thanks for your response. Yeah, much too fast for me. I don't think I've experience a year that has gone this fast in my life. As I said, I think it has to do with age. I was impatient when I'm younger, I wanted things to go faster. Now that I'm older, I want things to slow down.

For me, it feels like with each passing year, it seems much sooner for the last year. I agree about 2008 and in 2008 I agreed about it just being yesterday that I said good bye to 2007 and I think we can go down each year for about as long as I can remember. Especially in this ten year period. Thank you for your response.

Not only this year but it seems like the decade went by really fast. By the way, have you heard anything about how they're calling the 00s - you know the dirty 30s, the swinging 60s, etc?

I think this year went by like a bolt of lightning. In fact wasn't it just 2007 yesterday? I don't buy all of the hype about 2012, and Y2K definitely didn't end the world, but sometimes I wonder if the earth isn't rotating just a little faster and perhaps even orbiting the sun at a higher rate of speed. That could be it, that is if Einstein's theory of relativity is irrefutibly accurate, or that time is not a sperate natural force of the cosmos.

As I grow older, I have noticed that days pass by so quickly. I wonder why. When I was still young, I have noted that a year takes so long to pass. But now, its quite different. I have read an article that says that we seem to think that time does pass so quickly as we get older considering that when we are old, we are already know most of the things that we do unlike when we were young that everything seems new and we are still discovering. It seems that as we grow old most of the things are just routine already. Well, whatever it is, what's important is to live life with a positive attitude.

Yes, i have same feeling.Every week goes very quickly to me.I have to hold a meeting on Tuesday and Friday. On Monday and Wednesday i often play football then only Thursday is for my own work.So i only have little time for my work.
Now ,new year is coming. But i find i have done nothing this year while i review the past. How terrible it is.

Hi mega matt: I agree with you, i have the same feeling you are expressing in this discussion. I can beleive that we are now near 2010 and what it's worst how this last 10 years have passed to fast. It's not only you, everybody thinks that times moves faster the more we get old and i think it's because we have more responsabilities so everyday it's important for us and time is not as long as we would like that it would be in my opinion. Thanks for sharing with us your opinion. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take Care.

This year has passed way too quickly for me as well. Between school and related activities for my son, work, and trying to accomplish lifetime dreams ... this year has been a blur to say the least. I, too, remember the year 2000 thing and all the hysteria surrounding it ... and now to think that it has been ten years past ... time flies by too fast. My only hope is that every person truly values their time that they have been blessed with and really appreciates each and every second that they have been given.

Yes, I know, we have to value the time we have and use it wisely. I think over the past few years, as I've gotten older, that fact has made clear. Makes me kind of wish for the time I wanted to pass quickly when I was younger. The fact is been ten years since 2000 just horrifies me, truly time goes too fast. Thank you for your response.

Hi. What a year of 2009 for me personally. It was a very busy year since that I'm doing 3 in 1 things. Having a family, working and further my studies. The fact is, I love this busy situation of my life although that sometimes it make me feel so depressed an pressure. When having this kind of situation, it just feels like you are the one that chasing the time and not the other way.. :
