who can tell me the SALARY of professors in the Top 80 universities of America?

according to my own character, I don't want to be a employee in a company in the future. because the life in some company is really hard, your life is kind of controlled by your boss. in most cases, your salary is in no proportion to the work you have done and your ability. and that kind of life is not steady. I prefer steady life.
I don't know if the salary of professor in America is high enough for me to live a decent life. (I mean I can easily afford the travelling,house,good car,famous brand name....)
venerable professors, can you describe your life to me? do you enjoy your life?

First of all your avatar is my favorite actor Daniel Wu and I missed him so much. Second, I really don't know what is the salary of Professors in America. Third, I like your attitude. I want the same for myself. I want to be the boss of my future business. I don't want to be the slaves of always following bosses' orders. I want to work hard not for other's business but of mine. In business there is still hardship, but hardship are more even fruitful when you done it for yourself because you learned from every mistake you done. About my life, I am currently an employee in a small company. I am very hardworking. I love my job even if my salary is not enough. I do my best to make my life comfortable but as of now I still meet failure. I am still on the midst of finding my own formula, I will never stop until i achieve success.

hahaha =D Being your own boss, is not that easy, and it does not mean having a steady life too!! Imagine those hawkers?? They are their own bosses too, but are they having it easy?? lol =D
Alot depends on our own mentality to things.. And if u really wanna have a steady life, find something u like to do, and work on it.. Rather than going for highly paid job, only to find yourself not suited or unhappy?? haha =D
