What was the best thing that happen to you in 2009?

I know this year has a been a very hard year for everybody because this year was the time when the economy dived - really hard.
The most common crisis that took place this 2009 was people losing their jobs. Due to this, they do not have money to keep in their pockets, no food to put on the table, no money to send the kids to the best school and so on.
Yet even with the situation, some people were still lucky. Were you one of them?
Please share so at least people can learn from your success story =)

I usually dont worry much about the bad moments my friend. I forget them as fast as the seconds hand crosses the same point for the second time. For me, this year was soo special that I could get more close to my beloved, my parents allowed me to decide my life actions, I could feel the real friend in few of my friends and more than that, I got to be a member of mylot.

Hi funkey guhl: You have the reason. This have been a hard year for everybody but I feel i can call myself lucky because my father is still on his job even if there were a lot of unemployees in his office, that's luck. And off course, as i have mentioned, I had the big pleasure to be in my first gig and it was with Keane, i consider them one of the mos beautiful band in the planet. That is very true Alvaro. This has been a tough year for everybody. Most of my friends were made redundant. Luckily for some of them, they were able to look for a job but others had to go home.
I'm glad that you're dad still has his job. Hopefully, 2010 will be a good year for us all.
On the other hand, that is great news - playing with your favorite band. Hope you'd be able to play more gigs in the future.

2009 was like any other year ,nothing interesting happened but at the same time I weathered teh hardships and held on to my job.I was hoping that I would have been more prossperous having a car, house and a wife but that wasnt to be .Despite the hardship I wa sable to put food on my table and still have some left over for fun and entertainment

Actually 2009 was not like any other year because a lot of things happened - people lost their jobs, lost their homes because they could not pay the mortage and a lot more. I guess it does happen every year but it was in its greatness this year.
I am glad that you survived 2009 without losing your job and still enjoying the perks of life.
Don't worry I think you will find yourself one in the near future. =)

Earlier part of 2009 I was not happy but the latter part of 2009 brought me some happiness and relief. I have found ways to earn something in internet on line business.I received my first credit to Paypal through TREK PAY.com.

The best thing to happen to me was getting my Bachelor's Degree. I had worked hard for it and I felt a sense of accomplishment in getting it done. That was the highlight for 2009 for me. I don't know if anything else in the coming year would match it but it will be interesting to find out what exactly 2010 brings.

Yes I was still lucky because I had my 1st child! My son was born on Valentine's Day. And though I lost my job sortly after that, I still feel lucky because even though it made things very difficult for my boyfriend and I as far as money goes, at least I get to be home with my baby. They really do grow up too fast! I hate, and am not used to, not having money to do and buy what I want and though it bothers me, I still wouldn't trade my son or even going back to work just to have more money.

I don't have children yet but I can see it from my friends' eyes the joy of having a daughter or son.

Actually maybe you can do some online work so you don't really have to be away from your son?

The best thing that happened to me this year was getting married to the love of my life. We had been dating since 2005 and we got married back in January. It has rough start for the both of us but we are managing just fine. What I hope for next year is that we are both in better jobs and can get things more leveled out financially.

I had a lot of good things happen to me this year, but I think the best thing that happend to me was getting my mustang which I do love a lot and that was the exact car ive wanted for a very long time. It took a very long time for me to get that car or to find it but im so glad that I did find it since its my perfect car.

good things and bad things are equally balanced in my carrier this
year.good thing is successfully i completed my under graduation :).

I lose my job at beginning of this year.So sad at the moment,i felt lose confidence to do any thing.Then I got a son in march.My wife and i were so happy .This was the best thing happend to me.After that,i found a new job.My wife and i are planning buy a house next year.Maybe i haven't got success yet.Things are getting better and better.
