I really enjoyed watching 'The World's Strictest Parents'. The one shown in the United Kingdom had British teenagers going to live with some very strict parents in different countries like Israel, the USA and Belize. There were two series of it. In the USA they did a similar program called 'The World's Strictest Parents. The American teenagers went to stay with another family in their home country. I managed to watch those on Google Video. I liked the one with the Cork Family most of all. That family had adopted a little girl from China. They had made her life really happy. I really want to be able to see the program 'The World's Strictest Parents' that was in Australia. I haven't been able to find a way of viewing it on the Internet. I know it featured two Australian teenagers that went to Singapore. I am sure that is interesting. What do you think of 'The World's Strictest Parents'? Do you have a favorite family that was shown? Can you tell me how I could watch the Australian version please?

Do you mean there is a show about the world's strictest parents? I thought my parents were the world's strictest. The only with that is that my husband felt that his parents had that title. By the way, why was it not on about thirty years ago, then I am sure my husband and I would have qualified?

Yes. I think you and your husband would have qualified as the world's strictest parents. It is a shame the show wasn't around when your kids were young.

Funny, I thought it was my parent who was the strictest of the lot! LOL. But now he is angelic. Now it is my turn to do a little parenting. LOL. So he becomes a baby, and has little choice but to listen to me. :)

Oh yes myself and my husband watched or version of it and thoght it was interesting! I think we both agreed at the time that the one where the children went to stay with the very strict christian family in the US was good - especailly because the children were so rude and did everything the familys own children knew not to do and had respect for the parentss!

I am glad that you and your husband enjoyed an episode of the World's Strictest Parents. The teens came home with more respect for their parents. I remember the American Christan man said "In the US .... doesn't happen. He wanted all Americans to be as well behaved as his children perhaps. x

Exactly. He looked and sounded really angry. He would have terrified me during my teenage years. Talk about strict.

Hi max! I think this show is very interesting to watch. I never seen one so I think I might search for it in the net today. I couldn't imagine if there teen westerners to live in some very strict parents here in Japan. I can't imagine how could they manage it, I think they will become more rebellious. Haha. Strict parents here are very very strict. I hope I could watch an episode today. Happy mylotting!

I've never heard of that show. It sounds funny. From what I've hear here it sounds like naughty children our sent to the homes of strict parents to "scare them strait," so to speak. I guess the kids could learn some lessons from the show. It sound a whole lot more though provoking than many other reality TV shows on. lol

Yes, it is very thought provoking. It shows just how naughty some teenagers are. The parents do so well to help the troubled teens behave.

I've seen one episode and it was in the US. A teenage boy and a teenage girl went to stay with a family that lived in a nice house on a farm. They had to do normal chores outside and inside. They complained about it like little babies but eventually started to have respect for their parents. I do have a feeling that the show is fake and put together like most of the shows on MTV.

That might have been the Hatcher family. They live on a farm. If so the teens didn't like it there very much to begin with. Yes, the teens eventually get on well with the parents. Sometimes it can be like an uphill struggle. I like the way some of the teens get involved with charity work. Yes, I wonder how the show it put together. One of my friends thinks the director asks the teens to misbehave.
