Do you go to the Chinese restaurant dine in? They usually give you one or two of those fortunate cookies after you finished your meal, and you are about ready to pay. I am not really a big fan of fortunate cookies, but my daughter is, and her mother too. I just like to crack open the cookie, and read the fortunate indication inside. I never believe in it, but I just wonder would the fortune slip ever tell a negative prediction? Because everytime I read it, it always showing something good gonna be happen soon.

I've seen double-ended ones in the past. Like, "Life gets harder before it gets easier", or "You will face many trials ahead but come out as a better person" or something along those lines. They always put a positive spin on it, and I kind of like it that way. It makes them feel a little more.. accurate. So I guess those are still positive. . I think in general fortune cookies are supposed to make you feel BETTER, not worse! Or that's how I see it anyway.

I kinda agree with you, and I believe that we should go through many difficulties before we learn to be encounter the worse to come. I don't really believe in those fortune cookies prediction. But I would take it as an advise in future life.
