No cats were harmed in the filming of this....

I have to back story so that you can get the rest of this story....sounds weird but you'll understand shortly. I posted a discussion about my BF because of his kidney stones and the pain he was in. WEEELLLLL, I ended up hauling him in to the emergency room AGAIN last night at 10 p.m. He was so frantic with pain that it was unbelievable. I got him in and after a shot of morphine he was doing MUCH better. We left the emergency room at 2:30 in the morning and went to the only all night pharmacy in the two towns. The pharmacist was on break until 3 a.m. We finally got home at 5 a.m. (OUCH!) I woke up at 11 this morning groggy and non functional, and staggered around and let the dogs out and fed the cats. Then I crawled back in bed to warm up. Around noon I decided I really needed to get out of bed and try to get things done. I picked up my cup of tea and the remote and started down the hallway to the kitchen. You know how there will be that loop in a cord and you manage to catch your foot in it? Well that's not exactly what happened. There were two cats in the hallway. And of course they don't tuck their tails in. (Three guesses which two, the first two guesses don't count. If you said Willy and Khuay you're right.) Somehow, with one foot I stepped on the end of one tail and it created that loop that is similar to a cord that trips you. Yep, you got it right! I tripped over the cat's tail (that sounds odd even to me!), fell into the wall, dumped my cup of cold tea all over the other cat whose tail wasn't involved in tripping me...both cats shot off like rockets! One raced through the kitchen into my work room, the other made a right turn into the family room (which has linoleum flooring) went into a slide and smacked into the front door. Of course your's truly was leaning against the wall laughing so hard that she peed herself. Neither cat was injured, just their dignity. I have been forgive as they are currently laying on the couch while I'm writing this. But I have to say it was a heck of a way to start the morning after....

I have been tripped by cats and over dogs and stepped on tails and tiny paws, But I have never been tripped by a tail. But I have been Climbed like a tree by a cat with Claws and nearly knocked down by dogs with dirty paws. I was dragged through the snow by a dog chasing a cat. Cats have leaped on my shoulders and stood on my head. I have also experienced the laugh until I peed but thank God have never peed in my bed. I love all my pets. But I am still taking bets... that they are laughing at us when we turn our backs and planning their next attacks.

You can double your bet! The odds are 200 to 1 that the cats are laughing at us when they plan their next attack! I have felt the bed shaking and raised up and all four were "asleep". You can be sure they were laughing at what they were going to pull next! True cat owners and lovers know that their cats plan their next attack and have a good laugh at it. I know the next attack is going to be a really good one, they're staring at me right now! I guess I should start worrying NOW!

LOL..Always sleep with one eye open and I think (in your case) always walk with a walker. I have a little female kitten, VAlla.. she's a beauty.. very brave.. always has been. She was the first of her litter to explore and insisted on being the first one out the door when I let their mother out of the cage. She now is the first (ok well she is tied with my Recently fixed tom Brandis) - to be the first one in front of me- no matter where I am.. when they hear the Can opener or a can top "pop". Boom there are these two hooligans in front of me nearly attacking me.. LIKE I HAVE NEVER FED THEM IN THEIR LIVES! she sneaks into my roommates room too whenever he turns his back for a second so she can go torture his cockatiel. But you know what.. He LIKES her.. my roommate doesn't admit to liking any of my animals especially the cats -whom he dubs the rats.. because there are so many running around.. But she makes you love her.. She goes over to him and sits on his foot and looks up at him and then starts climbing his leg until he picks her up.. then she even bit his ear.. and he laughed. SHE has a plan... and she is only 8 months old..

This is crazy. Sometimes, me too,I accidentally stepped on my cat's tail and she was like jumping like hell. I feel sorry about stepping on my cat's tail though. i love cats. They are really playful. i just love them play around the whole house.

I adore all my animals and would feel really bad if I hurt any of them whether it is accidentally or on purpose (which I would NEVER hurt an animal on purpose. I have always respected any animal.) I stepped on the tail with the arch of my foot so there really wasn't any pain inflicted, it was just that they couldn't move. I think the pair did this to make me laugh after a lot of stress this week. What breeds of cats do you have?

this is why I mostly skid my feet on the floor so I kick the cat instead of step on them! I'd've guessed those 2, they do seem to be in cahoots with each other - maybe because they look so much alike? I always remember the day that Nado was chasing Star, missed the turn into the livingroom and plowed head first into the doorway - on top of Star who ALSO missed the turn! But she went into the corner sideways, he did it head on! Suddenly a 18 inch cat was only 6 inches long!

Hi Sweetheart. When this happened I knew I had to post it just for you. I wish at times I could tape their antics so that I could send it to you to help you have some really good laughs. Don't tell anyone, SSSSHHHHHH...I need to whisper this one as the cats are right beside me, but I got them a tiny remote control car for their Christmas gift. We haven't done Christmas yet and it's killing me as I know that Willy and Khuay are going to go nuts with the car. I'll have the digital camera handy so that I can get pix of them with their new Christmas toy. I hope Santa was good to you and you had a good Christmas. My Christmas improved when Bill got a better pain medication for his stones. He is at least comfortable now. Hopefully it lasts until he gets into the laser unit that is due back in our area in about 10 days. Have a Happy New Year. L & H, Toni

Wow, You've had a hell of a night, followed by the same day. I hate these days when everything goes wrong before you even strated it. I'll pray for you that it would be just this particular day and not the whole week, because when I get in the loop of bad luck - it can continue for ages :) I am glad your cats didn't get hurt, though, 'coz I really love cats

I figure my series of bad things are over for a few weeks. (Knock on wood. My neighbor was in this weekend and she is the one who complained about my fire place and a couple of other things...they went home and I am kind of worried that she might have found something else to complain about! ) The pair that tripped me are the house clowns. Khuay is famous for his crazy antics and I get the feeling that the pair thought this one up just to make me laugh. I know they have been concerned about me because they won't go anywhere else but by my side. Thank you for your prayers. Bill (my bf) is doing better, the new pain meds are helping a lot and it seems like the stone may have stopped moving for the moment. He is going to call the urologist tomorrow and get in to see him. I am just praying (and please more prayers will help) that he will be okay until the laser machine gets here to break up the stones. Have a wonderful New Year, and I hope your Christmas was great. I don't know about mine until we celebrate it sometime next year. (LOL) I can't totally cancel it as it will upset Bill tremendously. My biggest wish for Christmas has been granted though, Bill is at least comfortable with his problem for the moment.

Wow you had a really nice peaceful Christmas last night right? NOT. I did read about your BF's problems with his kidney stones, but sure as heck didn't know how to respond...hope he's better now. And as for your "Lovely" start to the day...all I can say is that your two cats are hilarious. Never a dull moment with them is there?

Hello, Toni. Well, you needed a good laugh after the night you'd had! Glad the cats are back talking to you. I can empathise, because if there's something to trip or slip on, I'm guaranteed to find it first. My mother, bless her, used to say I was the only person she knew who could trip over fresh air!

Yep it seems after stressful situations our animals or kids find great ways to make us giggle. Everything really does happen for a reason.
