When do you open your Christmas presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? I can'r wait to know what Santa has for me, so I open my presents on Christmas Eve. What about you my friends?

When I was younger, I would get impatient with opening presents and I would usually want to open the presents as soon as I got them, or the next day or two at most. Yesterday, technically this past Christmas, I was able to wait until it was actually Christmas to open the presents. However, I didn't get very many presents this year so it wasn't that hard for me to wait =P And the years before, we didn't really have that big of a Christmas celebration so we just opened presents whenever we wanted to. We had a tree and all but didn't really keep up with the traditions of a typical Christmas. I'm not really sure how my friends do it. Some of them don't celebrate Christmas, but for the friends that do, I'll assume that they wait until either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

I use to like to open all of my presents on Christmas Eve. Now I like to hold out untill Christmas Day. I think it seems better to wait untill Christmas Day. I use to like to open at least one gift on Christmas Eve though.

It depends. Now, we open them on Christmas or when somebody comes over whom we have a present for. As a kid, we were allowed one present at midnight and save the rest until morning.

we used to open them on Christmas eve when i was little because my dad always had to work on Christmas day (he was a chef in the prison system) and now we get together with family on christmas day and Christmas eve so it just depends. we have our own Christmas celebration whenever we can fit it in (actually this year it was today, on Boxing day.)

Dear Soleya, Congrats on achieving your 500 posts. You can now 'copy & paste'. My son would wait till 12.00 midnight on 24th December, when the clock strike 12 to mark the first second of 25th December. He will happily open all the presents with his name on it under the Christmas tree. However, this year... since the economy was not that good, he did not have any presents under the tree...so sad I gave him an RM100 as a Christmas prezent to him, so that he can save for his education fund. He said nothing like a 'physical' wrapped preznet...the fun, the anitcipation and the elements of 'surprise'. I normally would open my Christmas present on Christmas day, some people will open it on 26th December (Boxing Day). Happy New Year to you, and do keep in touch :)

I am half Danish, and half Canadian, as my screenname, and avatar suggests. It may not be an original name, but it's an honest one. LOL Anyway, Danish tradition is to open them on Christmas eve, and Canadian tradition is on Christmas day, so I have Christmas with each side of the family, one on Christmas eve, one on Christmas day.

We started opening some of our presents on Christmas Eve. We opened the rest of them on Christmas morning. I like to spread it out if possible so we can open something each day. I hate to hurry through them and run out.

Well we rarely get presents for us now that we have two kids. But I let them both open 1 present on Christmas eve night, it is our tradition. My mother always did it with me. It is usually some jammies or an outfit to wear on Christmas.

Me and my family usually open up some presents on christmas eve and the rest christmas day. Sometimes we can't wait and end up opening them on christmas eve. We try not to open them all up on christmas eve, but sometimes we cant help it...
