How do I start a discussion???

I on occasion will go to the top of the page and enter in for a search for a subject here on mylot...I have no problem with finding the interest that I am looking for which is nice and so much easier that search through pages of my interests but once I get into that interest I can not seem to find the tab to where I can start a new discussion...is there not a way to do this. I know if I click on an interest it will show me the orange tab to where I can start a new one but I can never find it when I do the mylot search through the search at the top...can anyone help me?

U have got to be kidding right?? The day mylot offered the extra pay u made a bunch of discussions.I know i had notification of about a dozen or more u made. so what's the deal here???

No No, I know how to start a discussion(like this one) but there are times when I would like to start a discussion about a certain thing say frogs or diabetes and I know that I could go to the interest tab and scroll down through pages until I found one that I like but I think it would be easier if I could just got to the very top of the page where the search box is and enter in the interest like frogs...I am able to do that and see other discussions that I have been started but I can't see a way for me to start a new discussion...maybe there isn't a way to do that.

I've never thought of doing that. I usually just use the link next to my name and look for the interests(which I'm sure you know). You should check your alerts where that new admin is taking suggestions regarding the website. What your talking about may not even be possible, YET.

That is how I do it too but there are times when I am in a hurry it would be nice just to enter it into the search and be taken right too...I know how to get to the topics that I am looking for but I just don't know how to start a new discussion within that search maybe your right and there isn't a way...I will wait for a little while and see if anyone else knows how to do it and then go to the admin(I thought of going there first but thought I better check to make sure I am not overlooking something before I going to admin) Thanks for your response toughtate

I didn't word my discussion good enough...I am looking for the start discussion button for when I do a search with the search box in the upper right hand corner...I have it on the discussion tab and when I enter in a topic like diabetes it takes me to all the discussions that have been started but I was looking for a start a discussion tab once I reach that topic...it is confusing =)

I have a hard time navigating Mylot sometimes too when it comes to choosing an interest and starting a discussion also. I usually just go to discussions and then find an interest there to start one.

I always go to the interest tabs at the top in between home and discussion and scroll through the pages and I see how to start a discussion that way as this is how I have started all of my discussions but I was looking for anyone that may know of a way to go to the search box enter in a topic be taken to the page that has other members discussions on that topic but then be able to start your own discussion from that area...Thanks a bunch for your response stephcjh

I didn't know this before too. And I think the idea of rosekiss is very interesting. Upload a picture interest and could start from there. If not, I'll normally just look for the interest that is as close as possible to what I'm trying to discuss about and that's it..

I do the same thing or i just put everything under question and answers because I can't find anything close enough but gosh I have all of those interests tagged i would like to use them LOL...I am just really looking to use them when I am wanting to start a discussion about a certain tv show but there may be some others times too if it were easier Hehehe...Thanks for your response zed

@froggieslover I am not used to this new my lot. Did you figure out how to start a new discussion? Lost on this new my lot. Just figured out how to reply to this discussion.....LOL Funny I got up to post a new discussion and what happened to my lot? Can you give me a clue on how to post a discussion on this new my lot? Thanks just lost a bit on this new my lot.........LOL
