hi karthi only thing I really learned about why I was named Patsie is they were a little too chicken to call me Patricia so opted for Patsie which I have hated for 83 years but since my name is so heavily into all the various important documents I decided years back to just grin and bear it. Patricia would have been the name I chose if I had had the courage to change it before all the paperwork of years after.

My mom almost named me Patricia and I have always told her thank gosh she didn't..she always says but then you can be called Pat, I say Pat is a boys name LOL...I like the little twist that your parents thought of though by calling you Patsie instead it reminds me of Patsy Cline =)

Hi karthi_88! My name is a bit traditional. It came from the word shiawase which mean happiness. To name a girl, "ko" is added at the end of the name which is from the work kodomo which means child. My parents just love calling my name. My name is not that common or popular but I still liked it. Happy mylotting!

I have two names. I do know the reason why I was baptized with such names. My first name has a meaning which literally means gift of god... considering that it took my parents 16 years after marriage to have a child. My second name is from a name of the saint, since the day I was born was the feast day of such saint.

Well I later learned that my name means rum in spanish butI dont know if my mother taught that I would be so intoxicating when she named me lol. However she did mention he preoccupation with "R's" and hence my name Ron .Later when she had other children she continued in the same trend of naming her kids with an "R"

My first name is after my Nana, my middle name is after my Aunty, who's house we now live in. In regards to Pablina - that is the spanish version of my name and my Spanish teacher used to call me this at school, I kinda liked it and adopted this name for myself ever since - Pabs for short.

I have always been told that my name is Hebrew and it means Gods Grace.....
The reason my mom chose this name is actually because she was expecting a boy and was going to name me Jesse James if I was and Patricia Marie if I was a girl but at last minute when she found out that I was a girl she changed her mind and went with Jessie for a girl instead which I am thankful for because I am not sure that I could deal with being called Pat

Hi karthi_88. Happy holidays! Yes, fortunately I do know the story behind my name. I was born at that time where the movie "The Sound of Music" was shown. My mother was pregnant at that time when they watched that movie. And if it were a girl, they would name her after Julie Andrews. That was where I got my name, Julie.

My name came from both my dad and my mom. My dad want to name me with the same name that he has so Rene was his choice but then my mom want to add something. She choose the name Janus which came from a mythology god and her former nickname when she was young. Now my name is Rene Janus thanks to my parents :D

My parents told me they wanted to name me something original and I find comedy in it, when they decided to name me Elizabeth Ann after the queen of England. How is that suppose to be original?
