I helped the needy this Christmas!

A woman in worn-out clothes called out from our gate and asked if we could give her some old clothes, shoes, and pants, since her family has been greatly affected by the recent typhoon Ondoy. She was from a city miles away from us, and she has gone that far just to reach out for help. She said she had a daughter my age, and that just moved me. We immediately dug in our closets for clothes that we don't use anymore. I understand completely how much they feel, because like them, our family have also been victims of the typhoon. We wouldn't be living where we're living right now if it wasn't because of that calamity. The smile on her face just melted me.

That's truly awesome! It's amazing how something we consider to be old and almost worthless can make a world of difference to someone else's life. I wish people would help needy people all year though and not just at Christmas you know? I understand some people pretend to be needy just to scam and get free stuff, but if we are cautious we can usually find someone that could truly use the help. God Bless you and thank you for helping that woman :)

That woman was genuine. It was just plain old clothes that she wanted after all, and not money, so it's perfectly fine. It really feels good knowing that oyu have made other people happy. God bless you, too!
