Bingo Crazy

I recently read in the news about a bingo caller being told to tone down his patter! He used phrases such as "two fat ladies" for number 88 and " Legs 11"..to me all harmless fun in the game of bingo. But a council official has stepped in saying it may be offensive. Is this Political Correctness gone mad???? I think so. What do you think?
