Each country may have different staple food. in my country, the staple food is rice. the people usually eat it for their breakfast, even their lunch n supper as well. More over they have big portion of rice for breakfast. I think it's a common bad habit. I've heard that rice is not good for breakfast b'coz it contains much more carbohydrate instead of calorie which is needed to start ur lots of activity in the morning. What about u n most people in ur county? What do u usually have for breakfast? What's ur favorite food for breakfast?

rice is not good to be breakfast menu? I think it's too much, my friend ....
As the main energy source, carbohydrates actually in different types of food. It's just the nature and function differently.
Simple carbohydrates are carbohydrates that were sweet in the mouth and easily absorbed as sugar, bread flour, instant noodles, sweet drinks and soft white rice. This carbohydrate group had a bad character, which is easily stored as fat in the body, making easy limp body, and makes us feel hungry faster.
Complex carbohydrates are carbohydrates that are less sweet, less good in a simple comparison, but slowly absorbed by the body. Eg brown rice, wholemeal bread and pasta. These carbohydrates have a good character is easily digested by the body slowly, so not easily stored as fat, making our energy management and not fast weak, and possibly in store as smaller fat.
so for the breakfast menu, you should still choose rice As with your breakfast menu, of course, I mean brown rice instead of white

yeah.. I agree with u. brown/red rice is better than white rice but it's rarely here. My mom also suggests red rice instead of white rice but it tastes less good.

when i was a child, my grandma always cooked rice and eggs for my breakfast. i miss that flavour. now i don't eat in the morning. i eat steamed bun with soyabean milk or bread with milk. usually i get up around 10 am. so i just eat rice and other dishes for brunch.

My family does eat rice, sometimes bread, eggs, fruits, ham. Depending on what we want to prepare. Obviously I am from the Philippines and this has been the usual food that we serve on the table during breakfast. True indeed rice is always present from breakfast, lunch to dinner. In my case however, I do not eat during breakfast. I just take coffee in the morning.

I will usually have cold cereal with milk. Mainly because it is fast and easy. A couple of times a week I will have cottage cheese and pinapple. I love cottage cheese and pinapple. Once in a while I while I will have eggs and toast or just toast and sometimes I will have these special waffles that I get at this one store. They are very special and hard to find but so tasty.

Hi, indocorner. I don't know what others are having for breakfast. But I will have cereal or french toast sticks. I don't eat a heavy breakfast, just one that will full me up. I love having sliced fruit in my cereal. It is very yummy this way! The all time American breakfast usually consist of cereal, pancakes, bacon, toast, sausages, and cold fruit. Some people don't even have that for breakfast. It all depends on what they prefer to eat in the mornings. I live in the USA and this is what I have seen many Americans eat for breakfast. There are other foods that one can have too.

I don't eat breakfast all that often, but whenever my husband is home from work he wants breakfast everyday. We usually have, eggs, bacon or sausage, toast or biscuits, sometimes gravy, and once in awhile I'll make pancakes, and we'll have either sausage or bacon with those.

Most often, I have cereal, fruit, and milk...sometimes hot cereal for a change. Other times it's toast and juice, pancakes, or eggs and toast and orange juice.
It varies, but usually cereal.

Oh boy, thats a tough one.
It all depends on whether its a weekday or a weekend. On weekdays, its usually something light like cereal, toast or a microwave breakfast meal. Sometimes I do not eat breakfast at all. If its a weekend, it usually includes any of the following: bacon, eggs, pancakes, waffles, biscuits, gravy, scrapple, sausage and hash browns.

I usually have porridge for my breakfast and sometimes I will add some fresh fruit like bananas and blueberries. I eat quite a large portion as it is not fattening and has good nutrition. I haven't always liked porridge but used to eat cooked protein foods like eggs etc for breakfast, but since I have had a heart attack, I need to keep my intake of fat very low. - Derek
