Scrubs Season 9 Doesn't Feel Like Scrubs Anymore

I miss the old Scrubs. I've watched four episodes of the new season 9 of Scrubs and I dont think it's as interesting as the old one. There's no more janitor, Ted just left, I haven't seen Carla or Elliot, and JD is leaving soon too. They should've just ended the series on JDs final fantasy on the season 8 finale. Scrubs won't be the same without JD.

I am also loosing interest with the new season. Scrubs seems different without JD, Elliot, Carla and the Janitor (Glen Mathews). I still wonder if that is his real name. Hmmm?. I think it is a good idea to use a Female actress as the lead role. You really can't replace JD with another Male Actor. Everything has changed. The hospital has change as well. I don't know why but I prefer the Old hospital. It is starting to be like the American Pie series. The first three movies were great but when they change the actors it seems less interesting.

What you have just written is so Damn true. I loved Scrubs it was such an amazing series but with all the main characters leaving it sorta pisses me off because they are still continuing with the series and that might just ruin the entire series all together. Elliot is still there but she id preganant with JDs baby and Janitor was probally my favourite charater on Scrubs just because of the way he loved to mess with all the workers. Plus the new characters dont seem very captivating. The girl they got to take over JD's role is not as funny or in many ways like JD at all. Overall I think the new seasons of Scrubs are not going to be as good as Seasons 1-8 of scrubs.

Right, my daughter says the same thing! But I think Bill Lawrence was trying to pitch Scrubs: Interns as a separate beginning. My daughter was spoiled about where Elliot is and she isn't sure its entirely accurate, but still, she was spoiled (without wanting to be). It doesn't seem the same anymore. A lot of people are saying that they think that because of how the shows dynamic has changed so much, that this may be the last season, ever, but I don't know. I am really not so sure. Even if it is, there's still the classic episodes that don't get old.

If you were to ask Bill Lawrence, the creator of Scrubs, he would consider the Season 8 finale to be the Series finale of Scrubs. When making Season 9, Bill wanted to give the show a new title because of the drastic changes it went through. He was expecting the Season 8 finale to be the last episode ever. Janitor left because Neil Flynn is starring in another TV show on ABC, called The Middle. Judy Reyes, who played Carla, left because she wanted to do acting in the theater such as on Broadway. As for Zach Braff, JD, he is still with the show, but not as an actor. In Season 9, he will be in at least 6 episodes, as will Sarah Chalke, as Elliot, in order to transition into the new medical school format. Zach Braff is an Executive Producer for Scrubs, meaning he has helped out with many of the episodes, even though he may have not acted in them.
It is true that Scrubs will not be the same without JD, but it isn't supposed to be the same. It is supposed to be something completely new and entirely different.

It isn't as good as the first 8 season but it still is better then half the shows on tv now and its a lot better then lost in my opinion. you just have to get use to the new characters and they need to change Perry back to the way he was.
