How to choose a good name??

I've read an article titled "Name & Cultural Universal". It was about the way people are given name. That is so interesting and I feel very strongly about. It said that almost half of the most popular surnames in America were place names. As for me, It's quite suprising. In America, A peson's name is also links closely to his/her family's history. They also could be named after a family member or a friend of family who has recently died. I'm from an Eastern country so these things are odd because in our country, parents are more likely to choose a name which sounds beautiful to bless their children with a promising future or a good health. So that we choose name base on the meaning. What's the prevalent names in your country? How will you name your children?? Happy new year :) My friends
