Hey there! I currently use Windows 7 but since we're talking about Vista and XP, I'm not going to discuss Windows 7. In my experience, XP was much better than Vista. XP was faster and lighter(in terms of HD space). Vista may have been more visually pleasing and a bit more secure than XP, but that's about it. If you had good protection in XP and are very careful, the security category could even go to XP. The only thing I didn't like about XP was the constant stream of BSoD's...

hi pankkj,
I didnt find much difference between vista and window 7 but to my choice i like window 7. When comparing to XP and vista i like Xp as it is compatible with different softwares which i didnt find in vista. Though vista is secure than XP i think it is little bit not user friendly. For me window 7 solved all these problem.

Actually I am using windows Xp, I feel it is very comfort for me because it is so faster than vista. But I think both are old because now windows 7 is rocking. I am planning to upgrade to windows 7 later one month.
Anyway I can conform that, Windows vista is a fail version in our area, because no one like to use the vista. I heard Linux also a good operating system, but I didn't try linux yet.

I'm currently using vista. Despite being told by my closest friends, Vista has been proven to be more stable then XP. Don't get me wrong XP has its qulities, but I prefer Vista. One of the issues I was told I would encounter would be the inibility to use some programs because they would not be as compatable. But, I find that Vista has proven to be just as stable or more so then any other product.
The interface is smoother for me and being able to type what I need into any window proves to be useful.

I use Win XP SP3 and ever used Vista for a while. Which the best? Vista. Vista give so many capability. About Security, it's out of my calculation, my documents doesn't contain any secret, just people. I use WinXP significant to my job, because I need more light weight Operating system that work simply and quickly with some general use capability.

Pros- fast, almost-perfected
cons- no support, unsecure, can be complicated
vista
pros- "pretty", semi secure
cons- errors, crashes, SLOW, SLOW, and SLOW

I don't like to compare the two as I think that they are both pretty good. I have used xp home edition and now I'm using vista premium and I've never had any problems with either of these operating systems. In terms of security I suppose Microsoft are always seeking to better their product and so you would think that vista tends to be more secure than xp. I'm only happy that I've got a good antivirus product on both systems. Anyway, overall I'm pretty happy with both. Andrew
