Do you use Windows Copy utility or any other faster copying utility like TERRA COPY ETC.
I use terra copy it gives me a speed ranging between 1mbps to 32 mbps that is 9 time faster than windows.
What do you use to copy in windows.()Please name the product()

i dont know about the fast copy but
in case of terra copy it gives speed upto 20 mbps to 1 mbps depending on the file sizes......
,,,,,,,,
.........You should try the Options given under the more button i think youu have'nt used that to modify the buffer. For small file chunks like 5 to 6 MB make it to a smaller value and for bigger files like 40 to 1 or 2 gb make it large
it will help you to get a good copying speed with terra copy.

Well, Windows 7 default copying feature provide transfer rate much greater than this.
I was transferring 8.4GB single movie from one drive to another and the max. transfer speed reaches 75MBps and average speed remains between 40-50MBps.
Windows 7 copy handler outcomes the speed of Vista and i really like this.
So, i didn't need any kind of software for copying.

Hi pankkj, i've tried teracopy and liked that software but still i rely on Windows default copying tool coz teracopy is still in beta phase and i didn't want to loose my data while transferring it from one drive to another coz it might crash anytime, you can't predict that one.
So i'm waiting for its stable release. But i must say, that software really works great.

When I use the copy option I use what windows have to offer. I don't see any reason to needlessly fill up my computer's memory with products when windows offers the exact same options. The speed depends on how clean you keep your system. So clear up memory keep your hard drive clutter-free and you'll be a happier person.
