I put some butter in the pan. season them with obay and put some pepper in it. I like to have them buttered well too. I like to steam them till the seasoning in all through the meat. I than put this over some rice and enjoy. I don't cook all that great so I will love to hear your thoughts. Happy new Year.

I love seafood and shrimp is one of my favorites, but I don't really like to eat it cold as in a shrimp cocktail, but I won't pass it up either! My favorite way to have shrimp is fried in a nice crispy panko coating. I like cocktail sauce to dip them in but I would rather use tartar sauce. Some people think that's strange but it's just the way I prefer them. I think cocktail sauce is a little overpowering for the delicate flavor of the shrimp. Of course dipping them in REAL melted butter is my favorite thing, I try not to do that very often. I also love garlic shrimp and it's so easy to make. All I do is just melt some butter and add some fresh chopped garlic, sautee' it for a few seconds then toss in the shrimp until they are nice and pink!!! SO good!! My husband likes them boiled so when I cook them this way, I just add a bag of seafood boil. It makes them taste great and you can eat them hot or cold cooked this way.

I never had garlic shrimp before. I will try adding it to my next batch of shrimp. I agree the cocktail sauce is a no go. my daughter loves the stuff.

OH garlic shrimp is delicious and if you like lemon, slice one up and squeeze some over the shrimp too! And yep, Im just not a fan of cocktail sauce, I think it just overpowers the food.

When I was able to eat shrimp (boo hoo, I got some sort of allergic reaction now), I would love to eat them cold or sauteed in butter. My auntie can really thrown down on shrimp.

I usually eat them at resturant as they are quite expensive to buy in the market and since people dont have a taste for it. It is difficult to bring it at home and eat it.
They are usually cooked in a different way in hotels and which ever is available I have no issues eating it. But I eat it with boiled rice, add some toppings or creams to make it go. If its with no spices I add salt and black pepper.
