I was watching some older movies the last few days and on each one, I saw the appeal of living in that era. These are movies from Shirley Temple time up to the 80s. I think if I could choose one time to be a young adult in, it would have to be the 60s. The music was awesome, the portrayed manners and morals are very appealing, and it just seems like a fun and peaceful time.
What decade would you choose if you could?

I would want to live in the late 70s to the 80s. Music, tv, toys, and the fashion was so cool then. I remember my parents telling me how much stuff cost then verses now and how much apartments and houses cost then.

That's when I was growing up, mainly in the 80s. It sure was a different time. No internet, no video games like today, kids played outside more often than not. When I tell kids today about that, they think I was cheated out of fun things. I think it's the other way around. lol

Yeah I was born in 1983 and do remember some stuff from back then. I look back and thought about how dependent we gotten on technology. There was a time when everyone didn't have cell phones and had to use pay phones if they were outside. Now I may see one or two pay phones. Mom and Dad told me how only a few people could afford cable. Now we can play Pacman on your PS2s, Xboxs, etc when back then you made sure you had quarters to go to the local arcade or be the lucky kid to have the Atari system to play. Telephones didn't have caller ID and still had to use those rotary phones lol. Saturday morning cartoons were looked forward to. Now it seems like there is no such thing. I used to tune into ABC channel and watch the Bugs Bunny and Daffy show, Schoolhouse Rock and whatever was the hip cartoon at the time. I would jam with my mom with the Top ten music videos for that week. Ahhh those were the days I swear.

I couldn't agree more! You are very lucky to know so much about that time, shows you spend a lot of time talking with your folks. I really do miss it a good bit, just reading what you were mentioning makes me all nostalgic for a pocketful of quarters again. :)
