The first thing to do if you haven't already is to get away from the computer and t.v. These things could strain your eyes giving you more of a headache, and could cause dizziness. Go lay down in a dark or darkened room with a cool rag on your forehead and the fan blowing on you. Rub your temples, if this doesn't help take a shower or eat. Sometimes we're hungry and that gives us a headache.

Thanks, and thanks to all who have responded. My headache is still there but much better. I pretty much did a combination of some of your suggestions as a group. The first being stepping away from the computer for awhile, and getting a bit of rest. Quiet darkness, rest, and a cool rag can infact go along to alleviate head and neck pain.

Rest for your eyes and stop thinking and it will give a lot of relief.Sources of head aches can be many and you have to find what it is.Sometimes, indigestion too can cause headache and so try drinking a little warm water.By the way,why should not you have a Paracetomol tablet with you in your first aid kit?

I heard if you put your thumb on your palm both of them and press really hard and hold for 60 seconds on each on it is supposed to help. And if you take a hot shower and lay down in quiet and relax it might help as well good luck with your headache being gone!

I share your pains too. On a friend's suggestion to improve blood circulation, I spend sometime before bath on massaging my head with a non-petroleum hair oil. I also massage my shoulder and neck region. Do some light exercises and then take shower. Occasionally it works. You may also try some herbal oil, if available.

A hot pack like a sinus pack over the forehead can help. If you do not have a hot pack, you might try a hot washcloth wet it and put in the microwave for like 30 seconds. I'm being creative here with the washcloth as a substitute so you may need to improvise a little if you are using something like this instead of an actual hot pack.

I get headaches too. I had one yesterday and had a terrible time getting rid of it. I finally tried something that I read in the past and decided to do give it a try. It worked for me.
Take a cold wash clothe and lay it on your wrist. Leave there for a few minutes. Rewet it and then place it on the large vein on the side of your neck.
I also have been told to pinch between the thumb and fore finger on each hand for 30 seconds at a time for the next 2 minutes. I haven't tried that but the cold washclothe did the trick for me.
When you find something that works let me know..LOL
Keep smiling.
