Has anyone ever broken up over the holidays?

C'mon..I can't be the only one. I did it once...and now it's been done to me twice!
Oh what fun it is -- NOT!!! No Happy Holidays for me!
Yeah, last year it was the finalizing of divorce the week after Christmas. This year it's the separation of a live in boyfriend situation. Both times.. I was resistant and the men wanted to get rid of me....and my misbehaving daughters!
I feel like the biggest fool on earth now. I know I have issues and I am working on them; but I am sick of being dissed so much. I am not that bad of a person. I guess I keep choosing the wrong men. Life can only get better from now on!

not necessarily breaking up during christmas, but worst thing happened to me is that i spend christmas alone while my boyfriend is with the other girl :( i can still feel the pain it hurts me so much :'(

Hi there Angela.
Well i also broke up on holidays a few years back. I was in a relationship with an older women and the age gap was of about 9 years - i was about 18 at that time, but she also had a kid and other problems, so it was better to let her go, then to make the relationship more serious and both end up hurt, and we last seen each other on 24th of december.

It is hard to deal with breaking up on the holidays but it does happen and I have to say I myself have broke up with a man on valentines day he was abusive and could not take anymore. Before I gave him a chance to buy me anything. Although he did send me flowers after I had left it was still sad and sometimes wonder if I should of waited until at least the day after...
