I just joined under someone's ref link i forgot, and went through the FAQ. I saw that users earn $600 in a calender year have to pay taxes to the Gov. I've never heard of other sites implement the same thing (or maybe i didn't notice). Is that normal? Do you really need to pay taxes even you make money online?

You have to on any US owned website I think, well if your a US citizen that is. Some don't have info about it, Mylot mentioned it but didn't send you the form for the longest time. I think now they will send you a link to the form if you earn that much, but I'd have to check into that. I've been concerned about earning that much, I'd like to but hold myself back because I am not sure how much I'd have to pay. The extra money would excellent though.

Wow, I greatly appreciate that information. So $50.00 only for $600.00 of course that's federal only and not counting into if it'd be for state as well. Very interesting, I do plan to run my own scenario, thanks so much!

Yes that is the rules of taxes. If you make money on a website worth $600 or more, or accumulate $600 or more worth of prizes then you have to pay taxes. The website will usually provide you with the tax form when you reach that point.
