Do you like buying new things for the coming new year?

I find a habit of buying new things for the coming new year. I dont know why but the urge is too great to refuse. I dont mean buying expensive things because I dont have much money to spend. Today I bought a new shower curtain, everyday clothes and a korean chair pad. Do you feel the same way? What are the simple things you like to buy?

I also have that urge. I am currently in high school and for the new year me and my friends will plan to buy new school shoes, bag etc. This is just stand out at school. Everyone will be wearing their old shoes but we would be different. I know a lot of people do not like it because they claim i am just boasting off but i just have to be different and have girls amazed. What do you think of me?

If you have enough money to spend then go for it. Just dont let your parents pocket to be empty. Just a friendly reminder.

It would be easier if you separate the necessity from the thing you want. Buy first what you needed before buying things you only want.

Well, if the stuff you wanna but is cheap then why not ? I mean, buy something that is worth the price and money you are going to invest and make sure you can use the thing you buy to it's effective use of it. Not like buy something you will never use.

well yeah I am the worst in the sales I always every year buy myself some new underwear sets in between xmas and new year.
Its more for when I go out on all the parties I wanna look my best and wear my best lol,
if I have any spare money I might also get a ne wtop or some new shoes aswell, then thats it for the year.

I have to buy clothing this new year. I lost over 50 pounds and need them bad. I am waiting for a few more pounds to come off. before i waste my money. I need a shower curtain as well. My daughter got hair dye on mine.

Hi Maria. Before this I used to buy a lot of things when new year are coming. Plus in my country, all the shopping complex around the country are having a Year End Sales. It is hard to resist that when you can bought branded clothes and pants for work in an ideal prizes. But now I have to be moderate a bit because I want to start savings. It is important because you can have a backup if something accidently happen to you. Plus you'll lose nothing for savings. I suggest that we should start saving for our own future...:
