Once you have reached a user rating (the number in brackets by your name), you will be able to copy and paste. The reason for this restriction is that many people abused it in the past and simply copied other people's discussions and responses as their own, pasted whole blocks of text from other sites, copied and pasted their referral links &c. You can only copy small parts of content on the internet and depending on the attached license type it might also be compulsory to credit the author. Failing to do so is a legal offence and proceedings can be started against you. Also mylot can decide to pull the plug of your discussion and in the end your account.

Well, its obvious from the question that, you've tried to copy paste some, good lengthy text from another site and earn some good money here. . Obviously, all newbies will try it out. . Even i tried it, when i was a newbie. . But, these, mylot people are smart enough to foresee, what we'll try to do , i guess :) so, they had put a restriction to use that copy paste feature. . That is, you must reach a count of 500 posts to use the copy paste feature and a count of 200 posts to use the smileys feature . . :) 500 is not so far ma friend, its too short. . You can easily reach it. . But , keep in mind one thing, that you should not misuse this copy paste feature. . If, you are found spamming, then your particular post or discussion will be deleted. . And, it might also affect your ranking and number of posts i guess. . So, be careful while copy pasting a text. .
