I usually make round ones and those which are small ones in to strips. I usually let the skin stay but I wash them throughly.
I like fresh ones. I am not sure of I should use the name of fast food etc but some are really yummy with garlic sauce and spice topings

I love homemade french fries. we use one of those french fry cutters that cuts them into fries by just putting the potato in and pushing the thing down. we leave the skins on the potatoes. Frozen store fries aren't too bad, but homemade fries are much better. Fast food fries fall in between I guess.

Hi, jahernandezrivas. I have bought the store fries many times than I have made my own. I have made my own a few times in the past. When I cut them in strips, I will take the skin off of the potatoes. My aunt can cook fries and cut them up so nice and even. I used to watch her do this and wonder, how did she learn how to make them so well. I wished that I could make them as neat as she did. I could only cut mines up but they were unequal.

i sometimes cook chips at home and if i do i make them chunky and usually leave a bit of the skin on. i know someone who makes the best chips i have ever had and he said the trick is to soak them in water before frying although i have yet to try this. as for bought in ones - those from a chip shop are usually very good but i am not too keen on the fast food ones as they are so very thin.

I've never actually fried fires at home- I've only made baked french fries from scratch before. I cut potatoes into think strips, sprayed them with a little vegetable oil, seasoned them and baked them until they got crispy.
I rarely eat real frech fries, but when I do they're from a fast food place or at a carnival or something. w
