What it feels like when your discussion gets not even a single response. . ? Don't you feel that, your discussion is really worth atleast as single response(!) ? :) well, after an year or so, i came back here and started a discussion which you could see below. . It has 0 responses as of now. . :( but , really, to be honest, i don't feel bad, because, i already got some 0 response discussions :) how many do you have ? What are they ? :) how you feel about them ?

When I make discussions that don't receive any responses, I feel a bit disappointed. I mean, it would be nice if I got at least one response to it. That way I actually know people are interested in what topic I decided to bring up. Of course if I don't get any responses, I would also think that it was because of when I posted it up, or the category, or because not that many people were interested in the discussion topic. I already have some 0 response discussions too so I guess it's not as bad if I got one now because I have some discussions that received more responses than I thought I would and that made me really happy =]

yeah sometimes it happens when we post it in wrong time to discuss or in wrong discussion interest.. but whatever, if we dont get any replies, certainly ,it will disappoint! even though, we receive some good number of response for some other discussions, still those discussions with no response, are always disappointing :(

Hi Friend ,
I never feel bad even if I don't get a single response to mu discussion because I easily can make out that I started the discussion at the wrong time. So neither it is my fault nor the fault of fellow mylotters. The thing which I wanted to discuss at that time was not suitable for that time , I keep it as simple as that.

Hi, dreamssri. I would feel kind of curious as to why I have not received any responses. But I would not let it get me down. I will still just post other discussions instead. I don't know how many discussions that I have that has zero number of responses. I have never checked on this. I did have one a long time ago that I remembered that never received any responses at all. I wanted responses so bad, but I quickly forgot about it. If I really want an response, I will try posting the discussion again. I will post it differently, so that it will try to gain attention so that I can receive potential responses. Sometimes we have to try a different approach to get what we are seeking.

I think everyone of us, mylotters have had 0 responses posts, specially when you are a newbie and don´t have friends. It´s not a question of deserving. Sometimes I´m not interested on a special subject, sometimes I don´t have any thing to add and sometimes I just have time to answer some of the posts my friends started.
But yes, everyone of us would like to have some feedback for the discussions we start.
I usually answer many and post one or two a day. My friends have grown over the time and so have the answers to my posts. Be patient.
Happy Holidays!

I don't feel that bad, I mean it was my own fault that nobody was interested in it or if you post something in an interest that someone hardly accesses it isn't rare to get a zero response. I mean I have only 1 zero response so far as I only post something worthwhile but hey, don't be too serious about it.

hi dreamssri It feels really miserable but pretty soon one learns
the ropes and start getting noticed, then you have more responses
than you can easily handle. its just a matter time and patience, and making quality posts. Now it doesn't bother me as I always get mostly twenty or more. I really don't think I have one without at least three or four responses. I learned to have confidence in myself.

I understand how you feel - I've had my share of 0 response discussions. I think a lot of has to do with how many members are logged in and how many others are posting discussions around the same time. Sometimes when I'm looking through the new discussions, I can't believe how fast new ones are added. At that rate, it's easy to see how some discussions might just get overlooked. Other times, it's several minutes before each new discussion is added. These times I find it easier to comment on more of the new discussions. Of course, I guess that also means that are less members actively on mylot at that time, so maybe there isn't as great of a chance of getting a lot responses. Either way, I wouldn't be offended - I really do think it has a lot to do with chance and timing. Good luck!

I don't start all that many discussions, but the ones I have started, all hae responses, slome more than others, and a few only 1 response. I am thankful for thos even thoough theer is only 1 response. It is so hard to come up with a topic that other swill be interested in responding to. That is one reason, I don't start all that many. It seems to me to be a waste of time to start discussions that don't get any responses. I guess I am just not all that good of a discussion starter, so I will just mainly post responses to other discussions, where I don't have to think about a topic, as I just post a response that doesn't take any thought at least not that much anyway. Those that get lots of responses are lucky, and I guess they are very interesting people, that come up with interesting topics. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Ha ha :-) you said that you won't start discussion that will not get any response but no one knows whether a particular discussion will get responses or not until it is started :-) if some one knows whether the discussion will get response even before it is started, then no one will be starting those discussion obviously ! :-)

I think I have 4 or 5 discussions that has no responses... Honestly, I feel a bit disappointed--- I think it is a common reaction for us all... We really cannot predict which discussion would get higher responses, few responses or none at all... Sometimes, I thought the discussion I started would get lots of responses but turned out the other way around... Sometimes the discussion we thoght that would get few would get higher... It is funny really...
Just imagine how many mylotters doing and posting discussions a day... It is good when our discussion gets noticed...

Hi, Dream.
I don't have a discussion with zero responses. But I have some discussions with only one or two responses and I know how you feel...
In one day I have started two discussions - one of them was with more than ten answers and another one was only with two or three answers... It's so sad when nobody don't post on your discussions, but maybe you can start another one, similar to that but with different description and maybe this time you will get a good number of responses.

I never mentioned that, number of posts determines the amount of response you get. . It depends one and only on how interesting the topic is to discuss and nothing else :)

Hi again, Dream.
I don't think that the number next to my nickname can be a reason to get a number of answers on my discussions. In fact I think I post around 1000 comments here on discussions, but you know that we get 'points' only when we post for the first time in a discussions so that is why I have a small number of 'points'. But I think that even if you are a newbie and you have 10 points - then your discussion can have a big number of responses - if the discussion is interesting the people will posting in.

Actually I just started here at Mylot last month. And I've already done 3 discussions and they atleast have one or two responses so thats already a good start for me. And if ever I would encounter having zero responses then it still fine with me. I'm more active in responding to discusssions than posting my own discussion.

Welcome to mylot, px ! I can see from the number of posts that you're quite new to mylot. . And thats wy you haven't experienced this. . Yeah, mylotter are always sweet, but sometimes, it happens when the topic of discussion is not that interesting or something like that. . :-) hope you won't get any zero responses in future too :-) happy mylotting :-)

Yea, of course. I have had some of them that are zero responses. But I think the worst is just one response. Surely there are other people who would like to comment. Luckily, any discussion can be commented on years later. I love that fact. You can look in my discussions to find out my zero replies or low replies. Feel free to start posting.

I'll play the game on mylot and go through the "zero Response" bin occasionally to try and get someone else out of there..a kind of pay it forward initiative..I've posted stuff to start a discussion myself that I thought was worth looking at or discussing that's ended up in there..but,So long as the subject matter hasn't become irrelevant in the meantime,or any of the links are no longer working,I feel they'd still be worth a look....and until we get a "Delete Discussion" button, there are only going to be more of them out there!

I have zero responses before when I am still a newbie then when i add friends and they see my profiles. They dig my past discussion and reply now so glad they did. I have no zero responses now the key is to find a dedicated friends who are active and look for your discussion. You would likely get a response even it is few.

i think that it would be normal thing for me.because i have this experience,i feel surprised why other people could not give me response, but at last,i look for my owned reason, maybe other mylotter couldnt understand my discussion's detail.maybe i make friends a little,so few mylotters notice my discussion.so i think how to improve my discussion and response mylotters discussion and make friends.so i find that what i do can change 0 responses.

Fortunately I have never had a zero response till now. If you go to my discussions you will find only one discussion which had a single response. This was due to the discussion being timed for the next one hour before the double pay earning day ended. Couple opf my discussions are running hot even after several days so I suggest people seeing this message also participate there because they are getting more and more interesting. One of them is "which is the most comfortable sleeping position" in which all answers are either informative or just plain hilarious. So come on over and participate!
