The first day after Christmas holiday, back to work again. I got up early, and arrived at work 5 minutes late. Surprisingly, I am the first one arrived, and later, two of my co - workers also arrived. We are the only three show up at work today in our department; everyone else still on their vacation. Our supervisor also arrived late, 1 hours later than us. Today, we had a pretty slow day, and not much get done. It seems that our supervisor let us work on our assignment bit by bit, not in such rush. We also take it slow, and the enjoy the rest of the day. So, how was your first day back to work right after Christmas holiday?

My first day back at the dry cleaners after Christmas was on Saturday, and YES! It was one of the slowest days.. in the history of me working. I had literally nothing to do, so I spent the majority of my shift on MyLot. Today seems to also be another slow day. I don't know what it is, because saturdays and mondays are usually our busiest days. I can't bring myself to think that maybe business is slowing down, though, because we're in our acclaimed 'busy season' right now. Maybe it's just because people are burned out from the holidays? Or not back in town yet from their relatives? I'm not sure.

Majority of people are still enjoying their vacation days out of town, or probably still at home couch - potatoing. So, good to have slow day, and you can relax yourself a bit. I just don't want myself to fall asleep, because I just want to look productive and hardworking.

Hi maezee: these are really hard questions but hopefully everything will be normal, back again in some days i think. At least you could not be bored because you were here on mylot. I wish i could be here when i am at my work, but no, unfortunetly i can and i have a little problem with my boss i'll have to arrange when i return to my job next year. Thanks for sharing with us your experience and hope everything's going right with your job. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take Care.

So far this week has been Super Super Slow and makes the day seem like it is going a lot Slower for sure. Where I work most of the time, we are entering into our SLOW season anyways so it is going to make for some long shifts as well. I work for Yellow Cab helping people get Cabs but if you do not have the $$, and things are slow with people playing catchup after their higher Winter bills than that is something most people have to deal with more as well.

Yes its back to work again and it seems that everybody is in a go slow mode .I am personally not in a mood for work especially when most persons are on leave too.Right now I am looking around the office and if you can see ten people that would be a lot.Consequently the office is empty and lack the vibe and energy it is knwon to have

I'm not quite back yet. I work tomorrow, and then have the rest of the week off until Saturday. It'll be more relaxed though.

I arrived late at work after Christmas. I was late one hour even my supervisor. Everyone has this vacation mode and we don't want to rush things. Me I do my work immediately because I have so many things to finish but my mode was tired and I was very sleepy. Few employees went to work as many of us are still on their provinces. We expected the regular work to be start on January 4.

i find that i would be willing to work after christmas holiday and still hope that i can be vocation.so when i first get back to work,my passion to my work would not be high and work slow and always the time can be quick,i could get off my job,but i find the work's time pass slowly like my attitude to my job.i think that many poeple could not adjust their mind to face work, their mind still left in a vocation.

Hi felice: I don't have a "first day" because i haven't arrived from my normal job and sure i won't do it until January 17th. Even with that I would like to congratulate you because this means you are a very responsable person. Maybe you will not earn more money because of that but it's good to feel that you are doing the things right, I think. Basically, this should be a nice day to return to your normal routine and at the same time to feel proud of yourself. Thanks for sharing with us your experience. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take Care.

My First Day Back at the Preschool only half of the children showed up but the parents of that half are asking how late they can pick up their children. Fun!
