I think it's ok as long as you don't have the parents look after the child too often. My children have both a grandmother and a greatgrandmother that happily look after the kids now and then, but usually this only happens a few times a year. As I haven't been placing my kids at their grandmother's care too often she usually suggests she will take them even without me asking! Happy new year.

Grandparents watch children for adult parents, it should be no different for a teen parent. If grandparents are babysitting while mom is going to school or working then maybe another sitter should be considered for me time. We all need time to ourselves one in awhile, it doesn't matter how old we are, everyone needs a break.

I don't see anything wrong with this as long as it's not taken for granted. Everyone needs some free time once in a while. As long as you are a good Mom, take care of your childs needs, and don't ask to go out playing around all the time, I think it's fine. Even adults need time off. Good Luck to you and Happy New Year.
