I have not yet subscribed to Netflix. I was at my daughter's house the other night and we were checking out the netflix movies available. I know there are some to download and stream on line and you can get the discs by mail. Were purusing through the one available on the tv itself. I was very disappointed in what was available. I finally found a classic tv season and checked it out, then realized the first three episodes of the season were not available except on disk! Not a happy camper!! ANyone have better words for netflix?

I absolutely love Netflix, but as you point out, it's not for everyone. I rent the DVDs and watch some movies that are available on the site. I think that the selection of DVDs is excellent, but it might take some time for the company to make the same great selection available on the web or tv.

I am a NetFlix member and absolutelty love the convinience of the mail service. I'm not familiar with the TV program that they offer and probably wouldn't use it but it's a great concept and would be great if you could TiVo them. My favorite thing about NetFlix is that you can queue movies. I only have to go online once every couple of months to update the movies that I want sent.

It's probably worth it if you don't mind doing it all by mail. It was just that it was a weekend and we wanted something different right then. It probably changes all the time too!!

It's probably a good deal if you have time to watch a lot of movies too... or time to wait for the ones you like to come around!!

I was a member for 2 years and probably would still be, but I found I had to keep looking to find a couple of hours to watch the movies. It was not at my convenience. If you get two movies a week that is 8 movies for 10.00 dollars its good. However you need to fit in the time to watch. I now just rent when I know I have the time and it saves me alot more money. I get my movies now from Redbox for $1.66. However, I haven't had the time to watch a movie so I have saved money big time. If I had stayed with Netflix I would have spent already 30 dollars in 3 months. Plus nothing being charged to my credit card is another great thing. With Redbox I just use my debt card that is when I rent a movie.

I watched a movie using NetFlix last night. The tv is hooked up to the internet so it's about like streaming it. However, it keeps stopping every now and then to reset something. That is annoying and the quality of the picture is about like a boot leg movie. But it was convenient!

I don't think it's a good service now that Redbox has been put into play. you can get DVD's much cheaper that way if you want to just watch it in a few days. Netflix is for people that hold the DVD for over a couple of weeks so that they can watch it when they finally have the time for it.

Yeah. IT's also convenient since there are no late fees involved. I always hated getting a movie or two for the weekend to only have things happen like unexpected guests or something and I had to return them unwatched!ugh!

I love getting the movies in the mail and keeping the movies for a week. I love the fact they have a lot more movies then my rentals stores in my small town. I don't have the download memory to watch them online so I love that I can rent any movie I want for one price. I get 3 dvds at a time and love looking for new releases that I can have for a week not 1 to 5 days which is the typical movie rental stores policy. One day when income permitts I want to up my dvds and maybe add blu-ray movies. Since I am getting a blu ray dvd player maybe in a couple of months. I also recommend Netflix to my family and friends. its so cool that they email you when they recieved your movies and when your going to get your new ones.

I am a former member of Netflix. I know about the streaming that not all of it available which can be bad. However, don't worry they are getting the strings out of it. They have to get copy right agreements since it's a stream on the TV. Therefore the titles on there are pretty old. I had the service before they did the streaming on TV. I had to stop it because I couldn't explain the expense. I was keeping DVDs for a long time and didn't see the point in paying each month.
However if you are watching a lot of video streams and getting a lot of DVDs in the mail then it may be worth it to you.

I believe that it is worth the money and we have been using it for a couple of years now. The faster you watch things and return them the more movies you will get per month. They usually receive returned movies within a day and your next one is on the way the next day, so the turn around is pretty good. So if you are just paying the lowest price you get at least 8 movies per month and even more if you want to watch and return faster, that is pretty good.

It's not too bad of a deal if you are used to renting a lot of movies. I really like the idea of it being right there on the tv for easy viewing I just wasn't happy with the selection!

Yes, it is. I love that Netflix starts off by stating the importance of culture, something that most folks don't even think about. You can browse, search or see our recommendations for you. They even have a special back of box feature that lets you get the detail of any movie instantly.
Over 100,000 titles on DVD – from classics to new releases to TV episodes. Plus, as a bonus to your DVDs by mail, you can instantly watch movies (some new releases) & TV episodes (including current season) from over 17,000 choices online on your PC or Mac or on your TV via an Internet connected Netflix ready device. Hope this help. Regarding netflix, it is worth.

I do not use it to watch online or directly to my tv. I just get the movies in the mail. They just started the others so you probably shouldn't expect them to have a large selection, but I know they say it is growing. I do enjoy netflix but i cant say it's 100%. We often receive movies that dont work because they are scrathed and one was even broke in half! I wonder if they check them and when people report problems, as we did each time, if they even remove them from circulation. They send you a new one right away when you do complain and i do think their shipping/mailing is very quick. I also have never received a few movies they say they sent and they again send a new one out right away but i dont know how many they will let slide until they suspect we keep them and charge us??? but if you like to watch a lot of movies, and dont mind some problems now and then, id say yes it is worth it. we really like watching movies and do so often so for $15 a month we can have 2 dvds out at a time, of course as many as we want in a month. I'd say we average about 4 or 5 movies a month. (was more before we had a baby ha ha ha) At a video rental store $15 would only get you maybe 3 movies...and the best part of course is not having to go to the store to pick them up or take them back. And even pay per view would only get you about 3 movies with $15 dollars.

I love Netflix. We live out in the country so get to the DVD store is a drive. All so most DVD stores do not have the movies we like to watch. With Netfilx we get to watch the kind of movies we like, classic si-fi and horror. As well as the classic TV shows we like. As we don't have to drive for near an hour just to return them.
With the way things are today any thing that saves you even a few pennies is well worth it.
