I do at at times I get pissed. I feel like someone is calling when I am doing things. The worst part is when people don't hear me say I will call you back. I have one friend who I just don't answer most of the time. She will talk non stop for hours. Letting me get nothing in the conversation. have you dealt with people like this?

There are times I get tired of it ringing and those are the times it is a telemarketer. We have caller ID here so we can see if it is someone we know or not.
In regard to someone talking for hours, there's one guy that can do that I know of. He calls about once every other week.
The neighbor lady behind can talk and not stop and you can't a word in.
Anyhow, getting back to the phone there are times I have just turned off the ringer and let the answering machine get it.

I don't have the option to turn my phone off. I may have to start unplugging it altogether. Thanks so much

Sometimes I get tired of my phone ringing especially if I'm busy and got my hands full and don't have time to talk. The time that bothers me is when we've just sat down to dinner and someone will always call, most of the time we'll just let it ring, if its important they'll leave a message and we'll call them back when we're done.

I know what you mean about those calls that are non stop. I mean the ones that talk non stop. But on the other hand my phone doesn't ring as much as it once did. I am not that popular these days. Sometime it goes days without ringing and I have to pick it up to see if it isn't disconnected.

nope not really because to be honest my phone doesn't ring that often :P Sometimes its the opposite like when people say hey are going to ring me but then don't. and they have some crap excuse like they've ran out of minutes, thing is they always say that so when do they have minutes. Or they ring up and say ring me back :)

Truthfully I don't get that many calls, so I don't get tired of hearing it ring. If you want some peace and quiet try turning your phone off for an hour when your are busy doing something. Then no one will be able to interrupt you. Good luck with your non-stop talking friend.

The telephone is one of the greatest inventions of the world but at the same time it can be a great headache.
I feel this way more as I age. Our lives are so busy these days and we're more in touch through technology than ever. Yet there are times when it is just downright inconvenient to have to answer a phone. But at the same time I get anxious at not being able to get back to the caller immediately. I feel as if I'm holding them up by not responding.
As far as callers who call you because they're bored and have nothing to really say, it does drive me crazy also.
Anyone and everyone can reach you today. You have no excuse to not respond with answering machines, voice mail and cell phones.

I have people like this in my life too. Maybe its rude but i use caller ID alot. If im busy doing things important i will let calls go to voice mail and call them back when i have time. People get mad about talking to my voice mail but i have responsibilities for family. I think with cellphones so widely used in todays world we have becme a right now society ...people want you to talk the minute they want to call you. What did everyone do before cell phones were invented? They left messages i think its not rude to let your voice mail take a call.

Hi Sharon Johnson: Absolutely, sometimes a person can hardly understand that you are really busy and you don't have time to talk to him/ her and also (but I never say this to a person) that i don't want to waste my time on him/ her. Normally when a person starts to bother me this way I try to be polite but i think this have never helped me because they never stop!. Thanks for asking me this question Sharon. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take Care.

i think everyone gets tired from their phone ringtones at some point because hearing one same toned everyday is very annoying , the ringtone will sound good for a certain period say till some weeks or some months but after some period it will be very irritating so i think changing ringtones time to times is better than getting irritating but changing ringtone is also having one disadvantage that is it is very difficult to remember which tone is now set and whenever phone rings i am also numb because i always forget it's my phone ringing.

I'm not a sales and not a manger so not too much calls after work, although a lot calls at work. I think nobody likes to get calls after work, except he runs his own business and don't want to miss any calls from his clients or potentials, in that case, call means money. But health is more important than money hehe.

I agree; it is very annoying. It seems to happen at the most inopportune moments. Some people also don't get the idea that I will not be picking up, so they should probably just leave a message. Instead, they continually call, and the phone never stops ringing. That's when I just have to turn the ringer off altogether. :]

yes, I do have a friend like that. I really don't care to talk on the phone for long periods of time. I've told this guy that several times. I have caller ID and now I only pick up once in a while. He also calls me at work which is very annoying because I really don't have time to just chat there.

I definately do get tired of hearing the phone ring. I'm on the phone all day at work and by the time I get home, I don't want to hear mine ring. I hate when people call and you get stuck talking and talking or sometimes listening to them talk and talk. I would much rather people call and get to the point to I can get back to doing whatever I'm doing. I rarely call people just to chat.

actually there is some people like what you said exist,of course i hate to hear what he talk for long time now.sometimes what he done can interrupt my life and work,i hope that they should take attention to his behaviour, but you should make communication with him and express your views for his behaviour,i think that this can deal with your trouble.

I feel happy when my phone rings only wen I am in the condition to pick up or I am free. It irritates me when ring continuously. I answer the call because I know probably the person is calling me and I must reply. Sometimes its fun and overall I would say No, I am not tired at all. I love to talk to my near and dear ones.

I dont get a lot of phone calls recently and I feel that my life is peaceful lol. i am really not the type of person to get to long conversations on the phone. i would rather have straight to the point talks and direct text messages. I would rather talk to people personally because I am a very exclusive type of person and it's also hard for me to focus when I dont see who I am talking to. :D

Gosh I dont know why but I get annoyed when the phone rings nowadays. Before I used to be excited because I like talking to people and I used to feel like I am popular. Haha
But nowadays I literally get annoyed when my phone rings that when I pick it up all the time is sounds like I am super angry at them. Haha Sometimes when I am doing homework, the phone rings and I have to stop what I am doing. Sometimes when I am even just randomly having fun dancing to some music in my room the phone rings and it ruins my groove. Even when I am doing absolutely nothing and I still dont like it when I hear my phone ring. Well, you get my point right? Haha
Whats even worse is that when the home phone is ringing. There are people in the house but the phone apparently is still ringing. I am wondering if anybody is ever going to pick up the phone. Then, now I am just standing there to see if the ringing stops when someone picks it up. NO! IT KEEPS RINGING! Is someone going to pick it up?! NO! I have to pick it up because nobody seems to be picking it up. Haha =]
