Do you watch the foodnetwork to see your favorite cook? Have you gotten incredible recipies from contributors to your local paper? Do go to one restraunt all the time because the chef is so awesome? I want to know who inspires you the most when it comes to cooking, it may not be someone famous, maybe a relative who taught you everything you know. Let me know who you think is the best!

I like to watch the Food Network. My favorites on there are Bobby Flay and Paula Deen. I've taken a few recipes from Paula Deen, and bought her cookbook for a friend as a wedding gift, but the one I get most of my recipes from is Rachel Ray, even though her show(s) kind of irritate me. I also like Jamie Oliver but I haven't seen his shows on the Food Network in a while.

Rachael is a little irritating, I can tell she can cuss like a sailor. But a lot of her recipes are versatile and easy to put together and tailor to individual tastes. So I think she's great. Bobby Flay has acutally given me a lot of ideas, I love spicy food.

I've always loved to cook! I've owned my own restaurant and had many jobs as a cook...but I have to say that my favorite cook on food network is Paula Deen. I love down-home southern cooking and nobody does it as well as Paula. There are so many great chefs out there but I think it all comes down to what type of food you love and what type of food you grew up with. I love fancy recipes but don't have the money to make them and that's another reason I love Paula, she makes things out of ingredients that most people already have. While most of her recipes are certainly not for people who are concerned with their health or are watching their weight, they are all comfort foods and I think everybody needs to just relax and let go sometimes...and enjoy foods that just taste great!

Paula Deen is really great. And alot of her recipes are easily modified to be more healthy. I mean you don't have to use straight up milk fat butter in everything! I agree that deprivation is the gateway to a binge so eating things like deepfried french toast should be allowed, just net every day, or every week in some cases.
