Do you try to earn a set amount each month,

either online or other ways?I did used to set myself a target or a goal each month,but i found that some months were alot better than other months,so i do not rely on that money.What ever i earn is a bonus and alot of the time it has been a nice bonus.

What I do is try to earn a set amount each day or two. I know how much that needs to be to meet or surpass payout each month and so far, I've not missed a single month. This means I need to begin several decent discussions each week and respond to others in a way that adds up to around 35-40 cents a day. I have discovered that I earn about a penny for each thing I write out if I do more than just a line or two. Karen

that is very true! I have realized that to. Whenever I am very busy and unable to be here a lot. I just have time top respond to one discussion. I wake up the next day to find that my balance increased by 1 cent! Sometimes it is not one cent and it ranges between one cent to 3 cents.

I know what you mean i have also found that no matter what time of the day or night when you come on here there are always discussions that you can respond to so there will always be a way to earn when you want to.I make payout as well every month,but like you say you can roughly work out how many you need to do to reach that payout as well.

I have never made payout on all of the sites i belong to and i do not think that i ever will all at once,it would be nice to meet payout on all of them though as then i would really be very happy.I am going to be trying to put a few more hours in every week in the hope that i will get payout on more than half of the sites that i belong to.

I don't set a goal for myself. I go on the PTV sites when I get a chance and sometimes it's not for weeks. I don't even think about the money from My Lot. I am new and I have never received a payout from any site.FI think of it as a bounus also!

Online earnings at this time are truly extra money so I do not count on them. Now if I were to quit my day job, I would be counting on quite a bit from them.I would then have to have a goal.
@jugsjugs (12967)

I never try to count on any of mine either as that way i am not too disappointed if i do not make as much as normal.However i do intend to come on here alot more in the new year as that way i hope to make more money which will mean less things to worry about i hope.

I am a stay at home mom so I dont really have any other income. I once in a great while sell some things on ebay but really dont have the motivation to do it anymore. I babysit but dont charge much and dont do it frequent enough to earn much money. I slacked off a lot in the past few months earning online due to joining facebook and getting addicted to that. I dont want to take the time away from facebook to try to earn money online. I love chatting with my friends it helps so much and sometimes just earning money online is so boring. Mylot is fun because you can write pretty much whatever you want and earn money from it while its simply all about you and your opinions. Its really easy but takes forever for the money to add up.

I am also a stay at home mum so i do not get anyother choice either to make a proper regular wage so i am always on the internet trying to make as much money as i can.I do make greetings cards as well and sell to friends as well as family to try to make a little money as every little helps.I have gone right off facebook as there are alot of people who used to go on there yet they do not anymore.I am on another social site that i can earn from where a few of my other friends are on as well.I am going to spend a few more hours on her in the new year as that way with alot of luck i will make a few more pounds a month that way.

NO, I think you limit your earnings when you seek a set amount. I strive to earn as much as possible EVERY month. I don't depend on a dime of my earnings to pay bills. I use my earnings to buy those things that I want....or...I save any extra earnings from last month to pay the next month's bills. That way I know what I have to work with NOT hope I make it!!!
@jugsjugs (12967)

That sounds like a great way of not worrying about the earnings where as i know there are alot of people that panic when it is nearly time for pay out all the time where as i try to make as much time as i can to come on here to earn abit of money.

I am like you i am on here trekpay as well as a few other sites that do pay and i do try to make payout as well as i do stick at trying to earn on all of the sites.I think when ever i have spare time i end up on the internet trying to earn as much as i can so that there is a less of a worry that way when it comes to all the bills going up.

I depend on my job outside of my home for my regular income. I consider the money that I make on the internet as extra money. Internet income can be so unpredictable that I would rather not depend on it.
@jugsjugs (12967)
30 Dec 09
I do not depend on it but i do know that alot of months i am very glad of it as it eases the worry of trying to find that little extra bit of money that you would like or that you need.I think that every penny helps no matter if you do or you do not need it.

...Hi there jugsjugs, Hope that all is going well for you. I think that setting a target for yourself to earn is a good thing. I don't, simply because I don't want to be disappointed if I fail to reach my goal. What I usually do is to try to post a little more each day, than I did the day before. I figure if I do that then I should increase my earnings, hopefully anyway :o). I am not one who is very good at setting goals, I usually just do whatever it is I have in my mind. Take it easy, have a very Happy New Year.

Hi. I do try to set target income for the year to determine the average monthly income that I should earn. This income forecast becomes the basis of my expenditure budget/forecast for the year/month. Like you, I also experience not meeting my goal for the month/year but I still believe that having a goal could enhance our earning capacity.

I am setting a goal of a few more hours a week to come on here in the New year as that way i know with only a few more hours a week that can make a few more pounds a month and that is less money i have to try to find as well if a extra bill turns up.

I love coming on here as there are always things to talk about as well as to do i love it as the bonus is the pay.The other sites i am with take longer to reach payout as there are alot less things to earn money on as well as payout is set alot higher so harder to reach.

Now way, not me. I am retired, so I just do this online earning stuff for fun and if I make a little money, fine, but if I needed to earn I would get a non-cyber job.

I can not go out to work so this is the only thing i can do to earn money so i am on here as well as on other sites as well as what ever i earn is a bonus,on here it is fun rather than a money spinner is the way i see it.I do get payout every month so that makes me happy.

Yes, I have tried doing this too. But, I found out that this did not work well in my favor. Sometimes, I may not be able to be on a site to earn but so much. That will decrease my earnings. So, I don't set a goal anymore. I just know that I want to earn a decent amount so that I can cash out whenever it is necessary. My time here on the Internet is subjected to change as well as my earnings are.

I know what you mean as some times i can come on here for a long period of time where as other times there are other things that i need to do or other places i need to be then it is a lot less time.I am going to try to come on the internet more in the new year as that way perhaps it will give me more of a chance to earn alot more than i have been.

Hey jugs! I used to set an amount, but I don't anymore! I used to be able to earn twice as much as I do now on mylot. But, since mylot has gotten so crowded it seems like the pay scale has gotten much lower and I just can't seem to make payout in a month anymore let alone twice that amount! I don't spend as much time anymore even trying since I know that it won't help anyway! It is sad because when I started here a year and a half ago I did make twice the amount that I make now in two months in less than a month! I still love this site and my friends and that is the reason that I stay here!

I love this site but it would be even better if the pay was better,i think that there are alot of sites that the earnings have dropped on and maybe that is like you say that there are alot more people on them as well.I am pleased with what ever i earn on the internet as everything helps no matter how small is the way i look at it.

I try to earn as much as i can as every penny counts.With how the bills are always increasing it is always better to have something rather than nothing.I think that having a bit of money is better than having nothing so in the new year i am going to put a few more hours in to get them few more pennies.

I try to earn on here incase there are anything that we need for us on ebay or any of the other sites.I think pay pal is also like abit of a savings for all the things that you can not normally can afford to buy out of your current bank account.

Hiya jugs, Yes but I think taking a break from this is very beneficial too for you as well. I don´t write on here for up to two days at a time. Not that I don´t need the money. I only want to fund my paypal just a little bit for anything that I might want to buy online.

Hey, that's nice. I don't really have a set amount. I just earn what I earn and stay with it. Making money on the internet isn't a hobby to me, it's just something to cure my boredom. Seems like a chore to me sometimes, though, so I don't force myself to do things like that. :P But anyway... I hope I'll be able to get the motivation soon though.
