Senior myLotters teaching the Juniors!

Seniors helping juniors is so satisfying - myLot Seniors should help myLot juniors which helps the forum a great deal.

It is fine directing the juniors to FAQs and Guidelines but it would be nice if the veterans/seniors in the forum guided juniors till they get the hang of this place. Some seniors take the trouble and really help out. I wish more would join them.It is not by just reading FAQs and Guidelines that one becomes an expert here but with brisk activity. And for that one needs time. There are some very diligent and studious new myLotters here who with time will become experts.I am one of them. Your views please.

Some of the seniors help through Private Messages too. Some have posted discussions with tips and advice also. Those new users that really want to learn and are willing to listen have been taken under the wing of others. I have seen many arrive and go on to become great Lotters. Where there's a will there's a way

what is your definition of senior users? so of us that dont look like "senior" users actually have been here longer than most take me and lamb for example we both have low post counts right now but we have been here over 4 years total with all of our accounts I do try to help new users when I can but unfortunately I dont have much time to be on here anymore so I am not able to offer extensive help to newbies

points dont always mean everything there "allknowing" I have over 14000 posts between all of my former accounts but if you look at my post count now and how long this account has been open you wouldnt consider me a "senior"

The answer is in your response wont... Those who have been more active than others as their points show are in fact seniors here.

One is not aware of your former accounts to place you as a senior here.

Mylot is user friendly. Anyone can sign up today and become proficient tomorrow. Haven't you noticed that most of the seniors are still lagging far behind in their star rating despite having been here for years? Newbies are better off, once they have found their comfort here they immediately earned themselves the highest ranking. Once they are at the top they will in turn look down from cloud 10 and remind the oldies whats right and wrong. As oldies..some of us are forgetful and takes some reminders from the juniors.

Thank you for visiting my profile and your complimentary words. We work together here and the way you menouvre around shows that you are no less than the seniors. You have grown to be a seasoned mylotter and no longer qualify to be classified as a junior.

When I pose a question it is not in my interest alone but with other myLotters in mind. I have a long way to go Zandi but yes you are right I try my best to learn the ropes as quickly as I can.

I visited your page before adding this comment. You are not old as I saw there and in fact you are at the prime. I have yet to figure out how the stars are allotted here. Little knowledge is dangerous and so I will desist about commenting on the stars. Stars have nothing to do with experience which is judged by the points one earns and you are pretty up even higher than cloud 10and so please do help poor us new myLotters to perform better.

hi allknowing well I as a senior here would help more often if my advice was taken more easily instead of just bypassed. Like when someone asks if its really necessary to comment back to the responses we give their discussions. I advise them that commenting back would be nice in that it will earn them more and 'also its a sort of courtesy as those people who responded did take the time to respond. And some of them never do comment back so what are we suppose to do? I mean you can offer your help and your suggestions but you cannot make someone use them if they do not want to. If asked for advice and the newbie will take it or at least think it over, I will gladly help but I am tired of being thought bossy or pushy or whatever.

Hi Hatley, I also help here and never get back to see if they have done what I have told them to do. That is their problem.

I have always been helpful to newbies whenever they needed help. I too received help from my seniors. As you told, though mylot is user friendly, still some help will be needed here and there for many. So let any one ask their doubts, I am ready to help them.

It would definitely be helpful. I am always looking for tips on how I could maximize my use of mylot to earn more money and give better responses to discussions along with coming up with interesting discussions to start. I look forward to the time I can become more expert and hopefully mylot will recognize these efforts and reward them monetarily.

I was under another account so I still see myself as a seasoned mylotter. I feel your right on with this post. it takes time to get the hang of things. I am back and I have to get use to the changes around here. Time is all I need and I will master this again. Happy New Year
