Sick and Tired

I am not feeling well today. It's physical but I feel that it's more on psychological. I am tired of working overtime and much workload. It is more demotivating to work if your office mates are inconsiderate especially those superiors. They want you to just work even if you're tired already and want you not to make mistakes. They even blame you if there are deadlines not met and mistakes committed by other people. Yes, you should be dedicated to your work but if it's over, your physical health might be affected and also your mental health.
I can't feel the breeze of the holiday season because we work on holidays. I understand that it is now peak season but why do they let you spend the holiday at the office. Some of them don't approved the filed vacation leave but they have the right to be on leave. It's a big sigh.

Are you in IT industry?Only those people have to work all days without any holidays to finish a project. But they can have some refreshments inside the campus itself,I think. And there will be long holidays if you have no project immediately. So think of the recession,be grateful that you have a job and plunge into action.Learn a little meditation and it will help you a lot.

Hi! Thank you so much for the comment. Yes, I'm grateful that I have a job especially that our company is greatly affected by the global recession. Though the company make some ways for the welfare of the employees, some superiors are not considerate and make their own law. If you are so tired and need a rest day or you have filed a vacation leave but it was disapproved by the immediate superior, you don't have a choice but to be absent and file it sick leave.
But I love my job no matter what. Maybe, I am just tired and need a rest especially this holiday.

Are you allowed to take sick leave like that? Will not be there any penalization to remain absent? If so,no problem. You can refresh yourself by all means and return to work the next day. What if some black marks are given on your profile by the seniors?By the way, does the seniors take leave like this?

same thing happened to me, and the worst case is, i should have been off last Christmas and this coming new year, but 2 weeks before Christmas they change the schedule with no reason at all. I tried requesting it to be returned to the original schedule but they just said they cant. It's really frustrating. Aside from it's draining, the work pressure is too much. I wish they would realize that were just human and were not machines. If they need us to be productive and efficient, they should consider our welfare too.

Hello! Thanks for the comment. I think, we have the same company. Hahaha!! I have filed my vacation leave 2 months ago but it is not yet approved. I have emailed my Team Leader many times just to remind her about my vacation but she even doesn't reply. I will accept whatever the reason she might tell me for not approving those leaves as long as she tells me.. but if she continue to leave me hanging, that would definitely makes me so upset.
I understand the nature of my job and it is now peak season but to think that my other teammates were approved, it is not unfair. You are left at the office working while your teammates are having their good times. It hurts.
