I've had a regular internet connection for some time. However, a few years ago we went through a period where our internet connection was touchy at best. I was lost without my access to the internet. However, today I think that I would actually be able to deal with it a little bit better because of the fact that I also spend a great deal of my computer time making digital scrapbook pages and you don't have to be on the internet to be able to do that. If all I was left with was just the most basic of functions on the computer, yes it would be harder to deal with, but I have a lot of extra programs on my computer, so it makes it easier to deal with.

10 years ago, the situation was exactly like that. Internet connection is not widely available yet. During those times, I was using the computer mainly as a word processor and playing games. Playing multiplayer games without internet connection were done via modem play like Starcraft and Command and Conquer.

I have been there with computers with no internet connection. I've worked on fan fics, done homework, listened to music. I've done just about everything possible. I've even had several internet-capable computers but no means to actually log on. Then I had to use dail-up, but now I've gone wireless. I have a router and can lie confertably on couch*

hey, if you don't have internet connections.. you can do many things in your computer. You can install application software you're interested. You can install games, applications programs such as adobe photoshop, and many more things. You were not limited only to internet.

How far technology has come in the past few years is amazing, I was trying to remember what I used to do without an internet connection. Played Dvd's, listened to music, had a few games and used it for word processing and organizing and tweaking images. I think that without the internet, there would not have been such a wide acceptance of computers.

yah thats true leeloo. without an internet connection, its just like having a pc with disc player for audio, video and everything that is worth its usage but you wont feel any excitement at all. although it makes you perfect when printing those documents with zero error unlike ordinary typewriter.happy new year leeloo

yes, sometimes the internet is out of ping and I can only play computer games or watching movies. What I do when this happen is Moving the data to another place, and typing on MS Word. And I feel a little frustrated where I was not able to check whether there is an incoming message or not.

Such thought had come to my mind once time. I think a pc without an internet connection is just like a small road without crossroad. Such thing would be very boring for anyone especially since we all agree that this world is a dynamic place to live. I think by doing the same thing again and again is not a good idea and people can easily get bored with such same things from time to time. So playing some games in a computer without internet connection won't be a great thing. But let see what can we do with an internet connection. With just one internet connection, a pc can start many new things. With only one internet browser installed on our pc, we can using that application without worrying about bored because one internet browser can take us 'traveling' to all around this world. We can do many new things and everyday we can find many new and new things again. So we don't get bored with an internet connection. The basic perhaps is still need a computer for a better internet experience but the point is not on the pc but on the internet connection since we also can using internet from our mobile phone as instance. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

Let us not forget our beginnings. With a 1 gb hard disk and hardly user friendly programmes most of us were groping in the dark. The internet connection that I got was in 1991 with so many teething problems and prior to that there was so much excitement using the paint programme painting everything and anything under the sun. using clipart pictures, learning to colour print the list is endless not to forget the games that you have mentioned. But let us not forget also that these activities gave us immense pleasure compared to the typewriter that was our sole support.

Just playing pin balls and playing cards and playing another games like The Sims or GTA. Then, When I was 13. I've got internet connection and it changes my life 4ever!

I'll feel very bored if I don't have internet access. However, there is still things to do with your pc without internet access. For example, you can use your media player to play music or movies. In addition, you can write something to express your feeling or simply a programmer can write codes :D
