Well this is one of the latest headlines here. A 6mo old died stuffed in a matress while baby's 15yo mother was out of the house. This is a realtivily new story but things like this don't need to happen! I know we all get mad or upset at our kids but what can a 6mo old do to upset you to that point? Cry? Spit up? have a dirty diaper? That's part of taking care of a child even if just babysitting for a few hours KWIM?

it probably screamed a lot and "cramped her lifestyle".
some of them think a baby's the greatest thing since sliced bread until they actually have to take care of it.and get up at 3 am to clean up poop.

and speaking of lil' dogs-that's exactly why california is exporting chihuahuas to other states.they're overrun with them.

Are you serious? They are transferring the dogs to other shelters because their use as a fashion accessory is done?

Oh of course a baby is a fashion statement to some teenagers, it's like when Paris Hilton & Brittany Spears started carrying lil dogs in purses dressed with diamond collars ect everyone wanted those lil doggies in cute lil carrier purses ect.... it's a dog!!
If you read the other link I posted on Dragon's yeah I suppose a baby would cramp the lifestyle they were living. Not much of a "life" at all....

Doesn't child protective services care about children?! All those calls were made and nothing was done!! I think we need an overhaul of such services, this is ridiculous. I can't think why someone would do that, they must be very evil.

There's sooo much red tape so they don't get sued poor kids get left to suffer in such an environment til the worst thing possible happens it seems.
Here's a follow up from yesterday.... note what the "friend" was doing that day & left in charge of a child! That whole senario is just messed up!

Things like this don't need to happen at all. First of all, I don't think that babies need to have babies theirselves (I was 22 when my oldest was born and at times I still think I was too young when I became a mother). If a teenager does want to keep her baby, I think that until the time that they are age of consent the mother's parents should have ultimate control over the baby and then at the time that the mother is old enough to raise her own child should all parental rights be granted to her.
There are just too many sad stories like this that happen to the children of very young mothers.

how horrible what devil got a hold of this mom to do such a thing these are the people god should not allow to have kids.It seems though she did not know how blessed she was now her baby is loved and i hope she is where she needs to be whether going in getting help with her problems are in the prison.Though she should of seeked help before this because this child was a special gift it needed only things moms could provide.AND maybe it did for awhile from its mom, but now it will always, because of where he/she is now.

It wasn't the mom it was the Aunt who had custody of the 15yo, it was the boyfriends, friend who did it! The Aunt & "Mom"/Neice were both out of the house. Poor baby is just a victim of the lifestyle that is known on that part of town. As it is sad that all the politicians scream.... We need to educate people about this or that... it's such a bigger mess than one thing they want to focus on at the minute. The mom wasn't even in school! Hello!!!?!?! A Child that had a child and some fool took away.... it's all sick & messed up! (see other links posted)

It'll probably be some time before the man goes to trial. You know they need to gather up enough evidence to go to court. I'd like to know if the Aunt is going to get punished on this as well seeing the 15yo is supposed to be registered & attending school & they do ticket & even jail parents/guardians for the kids not attending school.
