When it comes to responding to discussion, I feel more connected with someone I see with a real profile picture. Somehow by replying or posting a comment on his/her page seems like talking to him/her for real. Are you somehow encourage to respond in a discussion started by someone who has profile picture compared to a blank face?

Well, you'll never really know if they posted their real photos. However, I feel more like I'm corresponding with a real human being when I see a photo except for celebrity photos. I'd prefer to communicate to those with no photos at all than those with obviously fake ones.

I forgot about fake photos, I thought people are honest. I'am so naive posting this discussion.

Well, to be honest, I posted an anime image as my avatar a while back. After I saw your post, I changed it to my real photo. LOL. How pretentious is that? =^_^= I'll change it back later after I get tired seeing my face. I just don't really like posting my face around. That's why I said I prefer no photos, or well, anime for that matter than celebrity photos.

I think it's nice to see a real photo of someone you are communicating with. I show my photo on my profile page and I have no problems with this. It's hard to say whether a discussion would receive more responses as a result of having a profile picture but I'm pretty sure that this may be the case. I see you show your own photo and have no problems with that. That's good. Andrew

not really, I respond to any discussion without look on picture. If I meet interest discussions then I'll put my comments on their discussions. Most of time I pick one of section.
