It Takes Effort To Get Referrals

Many members who post in this section of mylot are looking for referrals. From what I have read there are some referral exchanges happening for a few people. But, in order to build a solid referral base you will need to expand your horizons. Traffic exchanges are a good way to get hits to your site. Which is good if you are looking for site exposure. But, referrals will not be beating down your door. Forums and other networking sites are the best way to actually get referrals. You join them - make posts that are of a contributing nature - and people will want to know who you are - then they will check your profile (make sure you take the time to fill your profile out). There is another way people try to get referrals. They use get paid to sites where you can pay people to join under you. But, remember those people are trying to make money by completing an offer. So my vote still goes to networking sites and forums.

You are right, its hard to get referrals for some people like me and you. However there are a lot of experienced people that make a good profit from them. I had some referrals but they were inactive, i think we should keep trying cause they may increase our incomes a lot... Good luck

It just takes time and effort. I have built a nice referral base for my programs over the years. So don't give up!

well you are quite right in terms of forums being the best place to earn refferals... but still that can be little time consuing as you have to develop an image also being helpful is good but ht basic point is that you can help people only whrn you have the knowledge to do so...... the next point is what i am really against... paying people to join under is really not the way to do it... YOU GOT TO REFFER PEOPLE NOT BUY THEM...

I think you misunderstood what I wrote. I did not suggest you BUY referrals. What I said was.... there are sites where you can complete tasks and some of these are to join under someone as their referral. That is a method some people use to get referrals. And the point of networking IS to build your image. And it does take time. I have been earning an income online for many years. I didn't learn everything in one day, and now I do share my knowledge. In fact I am still learning. As it is very important to stay on top of whats going on in seo and earning opportunities. And I will continue sharing what I learn. Anyone can private message me at anytime.

Yes of course, connecting a forum, with our own web, can increase the traffic on our website, whit an increase in traffic can invite others to join, become our referral. But, there is still another way, we can join in friendship sites, like Facebook, Friendster, Yuwie, Myspace, here is where we can get a lot of friends and promote programs that we follow to our friends, of course, would be easier to convince our friends than other people who are not our friends to join the program and want to become our referral.

That is why it is important to build your online reputation. On my blog I have sites that have been paying me for years. I am a member of alot of sites that I don't even mention on my blog. I don't feel comfortable asking people to join under me until sites have proven themselves to me. There are new sites coming out daily...most will end up in the trash heap...so why waste my time and other peoples time.

I'm a member of a few good traffic exchange sites but I've only had some modest success, the fact of the matter is unless your a pro traffic site member who is willing to pay monthly fees to get results or your a member of a bunch of other forum sites that will allow you to post your referral link or spam other members your not gonna have that much success. and I just can not and will not bring myself to do that, I only give links through private message if that person ask about the program, I've tryed a lot of online methods to get referrals I have created my own blogs with my favorite program sites, and still not much luck its defintly not easy because people have hard time trusting others and who can blame them theres so many scams online, another thing is that people tend to find out the name of the site and then join on there own they dont seem to want to be your referal I've become a member of others programs before and they didnt want to return the favor and now I'm really fed up with referral based sites it just doesnt seem with the frustration of getting people to join.

Any forums that I run or belong to allow member signatures. You signature is automatically added to all of your posts. There is no spam involved with that. So as long as your an active member, others will see your signature. The other problem you mention has been around since the first need for a referral..lol. There will always be people who try to one up you...follow your lead yet not be your referral...sad but true. I usually don't pay them to much mind as they are not the kind of affiliates that I want under me. I wish you online success.

I don't have referrals here in mylot, but not for lack fo trying. So, O am just doing mylot on my own, and I manage to get payout every month. It seems that others don't want to be bothered with mylot because it is low paying. I guess I really don't blame them for feeling that way, because I would probably feel the same way. The only thing is to me, money is money no matter how big os small. I do have referrals in the other sites I am doing, and all I did to get them was to put banners in my profile bere in mylot. I don't have a lto of referrals, but I am thankful for each and everyone I have received. I have never posted referral links here in the discussion area, as I know that is a violation of the TOS. It has worked for me having banners in my profile, so I will just stick with doing it htat way. I certainly don't know how to do blogging as I have never learned. I know that is a good way too, but oh well, at least I do have referrals none the less. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

It's funny, the one site that I make the most from I dont even need referrals, but for some reason I have loads of em, but as you may guess almost none are active, yet I manage to make well over double the minimum cash out every month, go figure!

Yes, I strongly believe that getting referrals is a tough job. The only thing you can do is contact your friends and members through mails, forum telling them first about the sites and its features and it totally depends on the other whether they want o become member or not. So I feel it is difficult. But sometimes it is very easy. Like if you are in colleges or call centres you can make more referrals and there would not be any problem.

I never understood how I can get referrals through social networks, I use to belong to one, I forget the name now but it was a big waste of time. I do get hits to my blog with a traffic generator but thats all it is "hits" no one ever joins any of my sites. What other forums do you know of? I had a new one that allowed referral links and everything but they went down too, I guess the owner just didn't know how to get traffic. Too bad they had the right idea. The only other legit forum I know of thats been around for a good while is mr.GPT and I still dont get much from there either. I would be interested in seeing what you got.
