My daughter and her family returned from thier Holiday up North about 5:30 p.m. the 26th. SO my wife and I headed to her house to give the grandchildren their final gifts. This is a shot of all 4 of them at once opening gifts. They were loaded down with gifts from everyone this time around. Did you celebrate with grandchildren as well?

On christmas eve we went to a big annual Christmas eve party with all the rest of my husbands family. Christmas day when my kids woke up they opened their presents at our house and then we went over to my mothers and fathers house to open the presents from them and from my sister. I have two children and my sister has to children so you can imagine the huge amount of presents there was to open at my mother and fathers house. I was sad during the Christmas eve party and Christmas knowing that it will likely be the last Christmas my husband and I spend together because I have decided to seperate. I didnt want to ruin the kids Christmas by doing it before so I waited until the day after Christmas to give my husband my ring back. He wont agree to seperate so things arent going that great. I heard a lot of people on facebook say they were celebrating Christmas the day after some even a few days later due to work schedules and such.

Sorry about the seperation.
Hopefully the traditions your kids have experienced will be carried on as well with the ordeal you are all going through. Good luck.

I always enjoy your discussions and the pictures you post, Bob. They reflect what I love most about life: everyday pleasures, family, and love.
I have 8 grandchildren now, and yes, I love celebrating all and any special occasion with them.

I got to spend Cristmas with my grandkids, it was wonderful. I love buying for the grandkids, its so easy. The hard part is having enough money and knowing when to stop. I would love to share some pics but my son would have a cow if I put any pics of his kids on the internet. Your youngens are beautiful, almost as pretty and handsome as mine.

I do!! I love watching their faces when they open the gifts and I know my kids loved going to their grandparents house when they were younger to open gifts, a lot of times money was tight and my kids only got a few gifts at home (some of what they really wanted) and what we couldn't afford, the grandparents took over, making it a great holiday for my kids.

I'm a long way off from being able to celebrate Christmas with grandchildren as my children are only seven-years-old and three-years-old. However, we made sure that our children were able to celebrate Christmas with both sets of their grandparents. I think it is very important for children to be able to spend as much time as possible with their grandparents because you never know when you won't have them.
By the way, the picture of your grandbabies opening their gifts is absolutely wonderful.
