The swine flu virus and the potential dangers it can give to humans is always there. We should not think it became extinct. They are not. They are still there alive and kicking. And if we don't see them on TV news, it does not mean the mainstream media killed the virus! They are alive and kicking, silent and waiting for a prey...

I think swine flu has been eaten up by commercialism, I haven't heard anything about it over the Christmas and New Year, mind you I don't tend to watch much of the news but even so there hasn't been much talk about it, everywhere you go it's been about Christmas and the New Year, not one word about the dreaded swine flu, so hopefully that is a good sign? Lets hope 2010 will be year that swine flu is dealt with and becomes a threat no longer. No news as they say is good news.

Swine flu hit before Thanksgiving here and by the end of November, had hit just about everyone. Now it's the end of DEC and beginning of Jan. and we're getting the regular flu. Reports say we will get swine flu again in the spring.

Hi Cher,
It is funny you asked. I am on the computer and have the news on the T.V. They were just saying the swine flu is still around and don't be fooled since there have been no known cases recently. We are still to get the shot if we have not already and still use sanitary precautions. There are clinics in our area that are still giving out the shot now and again next month as well.
Unfortunately, there was 2 deaths in our area a couple of months ago due to the swine flu, so we are very cautious when we are out of the house as well as inside our home.
Stay safe and flu free!

I don't think it was as bad as the WHO said it was, it was a scare tactic to see how many people would come to health clinics, doctor's offices and hospitals so they could steer universal health care down our throats. People get sick all the time, when its cold season people get sick. It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

H1NI is all over the news today on CNN. I tend to have CNN on in the background while I work online. I think people have grown weary of living in constant fear. Plus with the fact that daily something is going on that is newsworthy, one can not expect H1N1 to continue being shoved in our faces.
H1N1 is here. So are 1000s of other diseases unfortunately.
