How does it feel,if you get thanked from someone for helping ???

I always blush when somebody thank me for something that is not a big deal for me, because I just can't use to it. I know that it is polite to say "thank you" but it is not a matter of thanking... I always thank people who help me, but I never feel comfort when somebody thanks me. And I am talking mostly about live conversations, because it is not the same thing when you read "thank you" than when you hear it

I feel very happy when I have to thank someone for the favour, but sometimes very nervous too bcoz if the person is very new to me and I dont know whether he is really favouring me or pretending to do it without a true heart.

hubby and i are usually on the receiving end of the help and i am always careful to write a kind thank you note. when i help someone at work i always so no problem because i like to be helpful in everything i do.

It happened when I was still a recruiter in a call center. I cant really say that I helped her because I was not aware of it. She was an applicant, and she passed my initial interview and she was really thankful then I endorsed her to one of our accounts, she did not make it, I called her again and recommended her to a different account and she finally passed the final interview but unfortunately she failed the training period. After a few weeks, she visited me again in the office just to say thank you. she said that she appreciated my patience and kindness to her. She update me that she's currently working for another call center and she just dropped by the office to thank me. I was really touched because I did not even realize that some people appreciate me for just being me. I will never forget that girl. =)

I feel very happy certainly,just like the saying"giving is happier than getting",so I am eager to have chance to help others!

Well i feel satisfied helping the people who is hungry and helpless. I think its our duty.

i think that is a great feeling, that you really did something worthwhile and it encourages you to do the same to others, to help because people appreciates what you do.

a thanks from someone you had helped motivates me to be helpful to others. it gives me a feeling of accomplishment.i am sure you too felt that when you got the thanks.it doesn't matter even if they are internet friends.

Helping is always a good feeling especially if its genuine and requires nothing in return. I love helping people because I feel it is my duty to help others on things I have learned and know information about. I think it's the least I can do for having the opportunity and being so blessed for knowing what to do and what things are all about . People dont always know everything or cant always perform everything so it is important to lend a hand so when the time comes that it is me who'll be needing the help, people would also be there to lend a hand and help me. :D

I will never forget to thank anyone who has done me a good deed. Even here if I get a Best Response Tag I record my gratitude. Being in the attitude of gratitude is the best attitude to be in as it is with God that we remain in gratitude when we thank those around us.

You feel more valuable and significant... and that's the essence of living.

Receiving thank you and gratefulness from the person you helped really feels good. It makes us happy that we have assisted them in some way. However, I do like to help people out not because I want to receive gratitude but rather because I like to extend any help I can give. There's a saying that it is better to give than to receive. I believe in this and I really do prefer to be on the giving end than on the receiving end, the reason being, when you're receiving help that means you're the one in need. I'd rather be the one giving help because it's less stressful, less frustrations than the one in need.

The feeling is overwhelming especially if your assistance was life-changing for them. It feels great that you had made a difference in somebody else's life.

Hello as human we must try to help others, as a prof i have always helped students and my junior staff, i have 560 contacts in yahoo messenger around the globe, i help them always in different matters, i definitely feel happy Good discussion, thanks for sharing Prof

Well,honestly,I like help people who has need, I think that's really a good thing.I alway think who could go smoothly ever,everybody has the time that need someone save you.I've been in this and my friend give me a hand,I was so thank.since then,I like to help people if I can,even without the thank

It's a great feeling when somebody thank you because of the help that you had given. For me, saying thank you is more valuable than giving monetary or any material things just to give thanks for the people who had helped you. I am contented hearing the people saying thank you because I helped them because it is one of the good deeds that we can do while we are still living in this world.

Oh getting thanked for helping is a good feeling. I mean we could choose not to help others so when we do its obviously nice to get something in return :)

Well to tell the truth when i get thanked for doing something to help another it make me feel reliable and giving. I dont care if i get paid or not for helping if i i feel like anyone needs help i help them it makes me proud of my self and i get gratitude from the person i helped. I think helping is a good way to spread kindness to others and the world.
