Which Breed Size?

Which do you prefer?Large breed dogs or little dogs?Me I love all breeds,but I decided to get a toy breed.I like toy because they are easily exercised,and I can dress it up in a coat.They are so cute.

Our last dog was a Border Collie, and that's the size of dog I like. Unfortunately, my husband and I are not fit enough to exercise a big dog any more, so if we had another dog, it would probably be a miniature Schnauser. They're small dogs, but with attitude.

I like larger breeds too,but I'm not energetic enough for them.I had an Old English Sheepdog and he became too hard to handle,because I fell into depression at the time and I didn't have the energy anymore for him and I had to turn him over to the ASPCA.Since he was a herding breed they told me they would find someone experienced with his breed,since then I get smaller dogs,because they'll run around the house for exercise.Thanks for your response.

My best experience with a small dog still leaves me insisting all they do is pee everywhere. they're fragile, you can't do anything fun with them, and they yap. Sorry, I know some people love them but they drive me nuts. I love my 70lb mutt because he can go hiking and camping with me, he protects me and my things, and he is a great snuggler. He has sooooooo much personality and is a lover. He is very hearty and healthy, a great traveler, can ride in the bed of my truck, and if I step on him when I wander around with the lights off and no glasses on I don't break him. :-) He's the best!!

You don't have to be sooooooo nasty about it.You can't carry a big mutt up.They're ugly when they're big.Little dogs are sooooooooooooooooooo cute.

I like small dogs because they look like puppies. They are cute and small like babies. I like to dress them up in costumes and play with them. I like to hold small dogs too.

That's what makes me like them,they're easy to carry around,like a pocket dog.Very cute too.I have a lhasa apso right now,but I want to get another dog and I decided on a toy breed.Thanks for your comment.

I have two small dogs and they are great because they can sit on your lap, but i do miss being able to go for a run like i could with the german shepard i used to have. At least the little ones eat much less though!

The larger breeds are cool that way,I just don't have the energy to exercise one on a daily basis.I used to have an Old English Sheepdog,I used to take him on long hikes in the woods.That was when I had energy.now I'm into the little guys,because they can exercise indoors for when I don't feel energetic.Sometimes I'm full of energy and there's times I'm not.I also love that they're easy to carry around,and they always look like a puppy.Thanks for your comment.

It's a matter of opinion,I like both.Small can be friendly too.
