I'll forget to bring my cellphone with me seldomly. Then I'll feel like lost something for all that day until I back home to check if anyone tried to call me. I think people are used to have mobile to accompany them everyday, like a little portable pet, haha. How would you feel if you leave your mobile at home?

Hi chriszh, from your description above I can know how important the cell phone to you is! Yeah, nowadays we are quite dependent on this communication tool to keep close contact with one another all the time. It's really easy and convenient that we could keep in touch with one at anytime and anywhere as long as network is available
To avoid to leave the cell phone at home I always put all the essential items like wallet with all the essential cards and some small notes, as well as keys, cell phone in a small slim bag. Therefore they are always along with me wherever I am. I realize that the longer time and distance we stay away form home the more important the cell phone is to us. When I'm back to home again, I would like to place the cell phone just beside the bag so that I can hear the calling tones clearly and don't miss any calls
Take care and happy posting

chriszh, since I have the good habit of placing my cellphone in the right place, I won’t forget to bring it with me whenever going out for sure. Hopefully all of us who are quite dependent on this communication device will never leave our little portable pet at home anymore
Thanks for awarding the BR and happy posting

Never do I forget to leave it behind, and even if by chance forget it my parents remind me,if they aren't at home and I remember that I have forgotten to bring it with me and haven't already gone too far I'll come back, take it and then go. I completely feel lost without my cellphone, more than myself I carry it for my parents because if they can't contact me they get really paranoid. So I always carry it with me.

In a way, it is good to forget your cell phone sometimes. It is the best way to be reminded that you are still a person, an intelligent being, even if you do not have your cell phone at your side. On the other hand, the great communication opportunities provided by cell phones kind of fade away if you either do not have your phone, or if you have it in you purse in 'silent' mode.

Mobile phone is a part in me my friend. Whatever I do, wherever I go, my mobile phone will be accompanying me. I got my mobile not for time pass or chatting my friend, but to be as a communication with my parents, that they don't get afraid in I'm gone out. But now, I use it to chat with my friends, play games, mail, browse the net andd so on my friend. I consider it to be a miny handy computer my friend.
The only time I hesitate to take my mobile is when I'm with my beloved. I wish to be so, since I don't wanna get my time with my beloved be distracted by unimportant calls my friend.
Wishing you a wonderfull new year 2010 my friend.

Well, your right about that. It's kinda hard to let go the phone easily but I'm not saying that we won't live without cellphones. We're just used to communicate to others easily using a device on our pocket that can easily pulled out and dialed just a couple of buttons and there you go, you've just communicated someone that fast. Especially now it has a lot of functions like surfing the net which could be the second most advantage for me because I could check emails easily.

I feel the same way- like I am lost and start worrying that something will happen (an emergency) and I wont my phone..
I also stopped carrying a watch since I got my phone..so them I am freaked out that I don't know what time it is.- even though there is a clock in my car and I never look at the time on my phone that often at all. I all of a sudden think I can not live without it!

It would not be the end of the world for me since I have lived 51 years without one. I only got a cellphone two years ago this coming January and I'm planning to end my contract because I really don't like the cell phone at all. Its convenient at times but I know they are now finding out that the cell phone is a dangerous thing when it comes to your body.

I would be upset at first and maybe cursing at myself for forgetting it. But I can handle being without it for a day. I just use a Pay phone if I need to make an important call to somebody. It wouldn't be the end of the world for me.

Yes, it seems that I are segregated with my friends and my relatives when I didn't take my cellphone accompany. I worried about my friends might call me for relax and my relatives might phone me in emergence, I felt unease and tried find my mobile back. I experienced that my father had an light incident but failed to find me because I placed my cellphone at home, that's terrible and I always remember to take my mobile when I leave home.

It is highly inconvenient to forget cellphones and leave home. The worst part is when you have to call someone and don't have their number handy. I always check to make sure that I have my cellphone with me while I leave the house. If you are very forgetful you can probably set an alarm prior to the time you leave to remind you to carry it along or also keep it along with things that you are bound to see or use before going out.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't usually forget my cellphone, but when I do, I feel like I'm always missing something and I feel like I'm, in a sense, incomplete. It's not like I'm that attached to my cellphone or anything. It's just that I know how useful it can be when I'm going out somewhere. I can use it for emergencies. At home though, I don't carry around my cellphone with me. I usually just leave it in my room. I think people are just really use to having cellphones because it's convenient and it's so useful to have. We can call our friends, or text them, make emergency calls if we need to. It's just a way of communicating.

It tends to depend upon where I am going and the day of the week if I really miss not having my cell phone. If it is a Lazy weekend day and I am going to the Library, I tend to not mind forgetting the phone at home. I tend to think oh no one is going to call. This has created a few problems with an ex-boyfriend that read a little too much into me not answering my phone for a few hours. Come on, it is not like we are supposed to be glued to a phone is it? Or is that the point of cell phones for us to be glued to the phone so anyone can reach us at any moment.
If am going to work, I might miss being able to make a phone call to take care of some task on break or check my messages.
I do like having my cell phone with me just in case, but If I'm not expecting a phone call I do not see the need to be glued to it at every moment. Even this afternoon I went out to do some things and I had the ringer off because I just did not want to be bugged by phone calls. I think with cellphones sometimes we've just got to put ourselves on unavailable mode and turn the ringer off. Stop worrying about everything that we need to do and disconnect from technology and live life a little bit.

I hate it when I forget my cell. Not only do I feel like I am almost naked, but I feel like the one day that I forget my cell, that will be the day that my car breaks down. It is funny to remember the days when I was in high school and I didnt have a cell phone to rely on. I couldnt call my friends on the spur of the moment. We should all try to remember the days without our cells, if only to appreciate them a bit more.
